Received an email from stars today:
Dear grucas,
Based on your recent tournament history, we've composed the following personalized WCOOP schedule for you. You can register for all of these tourneys now!
The least expensive buy in is $109, the most expensive is $10,300.
LOL, personalized my arse, I've never bought into an online tourney for more than $11 in my life.

well to be fair to them they just try to get people involved- by saying personalized they do not mean the stakes you are playing, just as grahamy27 mentioned they look what you like to play (holdem, omaha etc.) and sent you links to these tournaments- buy in is usually is not an issue, cause you can qualify to any major tournament via satellites...don't be to harsh on them- they are just trying to take your last shirt away

I dont think there is anything to be fair to Pokerstars about on this one. They say it is personalised and in no way is it. Its just a marketing gimmick that shows their consideration to users.

Posted by B1gfoot: Think people are overlooking the word schedule, they would have simply seen what times you play and recommended games that fit that time frame.

This is off course a standart email, i´ve got them too (surprise, surprise). The WCOOP is a nice tourney series for every kind of bankroll. But i´ve got to much river-suckouts at this site in the past and play no games there at the moment.

They know you have lots of money but you are holding yourself back from those buy ins. Thats why they made that buy in program so that it fits the money you have and not willing to gamble with
Such emails are most of the times for laughs and makes you wonder wth they are thinkin those that compose and sending them.

I got that email too and started laughing out loud. The most expensive game i've ever played at PS were $5.50 SnGs and what i play most are freerolls and less than $1 buy-in tourneys, because i don't use to deposit there and only play with what i use to win at freerolls. And the tourneys they tell me to enter because of my player profile cost between $110 and $300. At least they could erase that part in which they say they have looked at my profile, doesn't give very good image of the company...
