possible winning hand with AAAA is a flush on the board. if its rainbow, fold it.

dont big bet on preflop, just limp. Smile

You can go all in with 4 JOKERS on hand Big Smile indifferent of board Tongue

in omaha any pocket cards with 3 of a kind or better, just fold or get a free ride on the BB.

Remember in omaha you eed at least a straght to win a normal play. with 1 or 2 pairs it s only ok when you re only playing versus 1 player and still don t put a lot of money on 1 or 2 pairs or even a tris.
watch the cards on the table and look for flushes , fh, str ,....

Incorrect - PLO rules mean you need to use TWO hole cards, which means with a rainbow hand like AAAA you CANNOT make a flush, period.

It is a very weak hand.

I pretty well fold every quad-hole-card hand I am dealt in PLO, but I am no PLO expert, not sure if this is correct play with AAAA or not, but it's definitely a very weak hand.

Fold pre flop.

If you see a flop though, what you want to see is a set on the flop. For example if the flop is 999 then your full house is pretty good, and you could extract value from a smaller full house if you have a loose table image. But since you have to worry about the quad, it puts you in a tough spot. When the best flop you can hope for leaves you in a tough spot, that means you're better fold pre flop. In any form of poker, avoiding hands where you can't make the nuts is usually good.

Yeah, you can't even make a straight with AAAA, can't make a straight or a flush, or trips. Best hand you can make as already pointed out is a fullhouse, but then there's plenty of higher full-houses or quads to worry about.

I played some PLO a few days ago and I was dealt the hand AAAA and as you might understand, me being pretty new to the game was a bit confused about I was going to play that hand. I did win the hand with two pair but that's not the point.

So to the point then... How would you play that hand? I really don't think I'll be dealt that hand any time soon again but I would still really much like to know what your opinion on this is! As I said, I don't really have that much experience when it comes to PLO.

Thanks!

Its an instafold..

You are very unlikely to remain the best hand because the only real hope you have of winning is flopping a three of the same card and you have the best full house. WHich isn't likely.

if you get four of a kind in Omaha, its widely accepted that you should just let it go, take a screenshot and laugh with your mates about it.

Unless you have two aces of the same suit, its highly unlikely you will hit a flush.

If you do get two aces of the same suit, I would suggest you contact the poker site pretty sharpish and demand an explanation.
