My first live game in about 6 months  0
Well, I played my brother just a few minutes ago.

Structure:
Buy-in 5 Swedish Kronor (just under $1)
25.800 starting chips (we split all the chips in a poker set)
Blinds start at 100/200 and goes up every 5 minutes

Well, as I have mentioned before, my brother is a total fish at poker so I was sure I was going to win. After 15 minutes of play we were just about even with me having just a small advantage. Blinds were 300/600. I was small blind and got dealt 66. I raised him to 1.200 and he called. The flop comes out K66, I hit quads. Now, I'm not sure how my poker face is but apparently it's not to bad. I checked and he bet 1.200 and I called him. Turn comes out as J. He bets 2.400 and I call. River comes out as T. There is a flush draw and a straight draw at the table. He bets 4.800 and I raise him to 15.000 and he calls. I turn over my cards and show him four of a kind. He raged and flipped over his hand: 77.

After that he tilted pretty hard and in just over 5 minutes, the game was over ending with this hand:

He's all-in for 1.100 chips and I call the remaining 500. He turns over AK Diamond and I show 74 off suit.
Flop: 7 Diamond J Club T Diamond
Turn: A Spade
River: 7 Heart

I was pretty pleased with that game. I felt that I had been away from it for some time now so it was good to get going again.

That game doesnt count at all for many reasons.
And the main one is that you played with your brother lol.
If you dont play "real" live poker with at least more players and mostly non related
to make it count this was just like a freeroll Smile

Well, that's your opinion. According to me it doesn't matter at all who you're playing. I didn't say it was anything big, just that it was my first live game in quite a wile and the definition of live poker is this:
"Live Poker
A retronym for poker played at a table with cards, as opposed to video poker or online poker."

In any case, it doesn't matter at all who I played. I said it was a live GAME, not a live EVENT. And besides, even if I was just playing my brother, it still is quite a bit different playing live then playing on a computer.

So don't tell me what count and what doesn't count. I never said anything other then that it was a live game, which by all definitions it was!

Well done, although when you play against other people don't go all in with 4of as you'll have no chance haha. anyway good luck at the tables

In that case, blinds were 600/1200. My brother got the big blind and had only 1100 chips left. I was sitting there with well over 50k chips and only had to call 500 more to take home the game so I kinda figure that in that situation, any two cards are good enough Tongue

I think think mober is just joking around with you, but as for a live game I'm with you since the last time I played live has been quite some time so if I were playing with any living thing it would be considered live play. I just wish my brother enjoyed playing poker!

aye ,it sounds like mober was just messing you about a bit Smile

anyway in that position you were in i would have called with any two cards as well, good on you for that. and very nice that you actually got the cards out for a game as it's just too easy for people to click on their pc/laptop for a game nowadays rather than physically play,so well done erru
Thumbs Up

That was pretty you know now how to win few $ i suggest you play with 1$ against other people.. example friends... but only 1$ and no more than 9 ppl at table... start with 10-20 blinds after 20-50 tournaments won i think you can win EPT or WPT Big Smile i'm joke but if you played a lot of this HOME GAMES i think you can play on a casino or something like this... all you need is a bankroll and experience Big Smile

trust me if you play a lot of heads up you will get better much quicker, you get to see lots of boards and a lot of odds/flip situatuations in a much smaller amount of time. so i say get the cards out at any opportunity to really improve your game and maximise your chances of a decent cash when you do get the chance to play in bigger games.
