So I bought an iPad 4 yesterday, and, as I'm sure you're aware, it doesn't support flash. This means you can't play the Mob Calendar.
Since I visit this page 5 times a day, I decided to write a bookmarklet, that skips the calendar, and goes straight to the "five winning chances..." page (I.e. you don't have to click the "creaking doors" anymore, which require flash).
Is if okay if I post it here? I'm sure others will find it useful...

I don't see why It'd be a problem, considering it's just a link to the site itself. I'm sure people will apreciate the effort you took to help out

I agree, it's just a simple redirect in javascript, but since it skips the "Mob Games" page, maybe Tony has reservations about it... It's just that I can't think of any other way to do it.

It's been one of the most used arguments against iOS vs. Android. iOS doesn't support flash. I'm not really bothered about it, except for the BRM Calendar.
I bought the iPad 4 WiFi 16GB for 499,- EUR (standard retail price). It was the screen (retina display),that sold it for me; the 2048x1536 resolution is really nice. I can now Remote Desktop to the virtual machine on my desktop, that's running my poker clients, including holdem manager 2.
Posted by Macubaas: That would be interesting, thats in fact one of the main reasons for which i never wanted an ipad really: it doesn't support flash sites!
To be clear, my bookmarklet doesn't allow you to run flash on an iPad, it simply skips over the flash part of the Calendar.

Since we don't have any sponsors on the page made in Flash, and the only sponsor ad we have is on the next page with the 5 doors, then I don't have a problem with iPad users taking a "shortcut" straight to the 5 doors. But if it turns out that lots of people start using it without iPads then don't be surprise if we put in a "check" to make sure that only iPads (iOS devices) are allowed to take the shortcut. It depends on how it works.
As for Flash on iOS vs Android, I believe Adobe stopped with Flash for mobile devices recently, so Android will also soon be without Flash. Flash just doesn't run very well on those mobile devices.

Isnt the whole tablet thing just a waste of money? Really why buying something that does half the job from a laptop. Unless you have money to spare on it, ot the other android devices, its better to buy a small laptop that you can do everything on it with worrying about compatibility. And i bet by next year ipad 5 will be in the stores lol.

Because, for one thing, it's not easy to read on a laptop like if it's a book/magazine, as it is with a tablet

Yes, of course. There's at least one new iPad coming out every year, there's no surprise in that. Same with Android devices, except your new Android device is only new for a couple of months max, then another maker will have released something newer/better, because so many companies produce Android tablets. At least with the iPad, you usually get to have the "newest" for at least 6 months. But just because something new comes out, doesn't mean what you already have gets bad, if it still does the job you purchased it for initially.

The calendar works just fine on my Android 2.1 phone. Good to know I'll lose flash when upgrading to 4.1...
Anyway my javascript bookmarklet works on android as well (I just tried it).

You'll lose it for the moment, but you can download the flash.apk and install it and it works perfectly.

Correct - I bought a nexus 7 with Android Jelly Bean as it's native OS and it does not support flash - although there are work-arounds and you can actually install it fairly easily, although it won't work in 'chrome' which is the default browser.
