So far, got 2 step 3's. Was running okay, but now I'm getting sucked out on. Had 1 step 2 tourney, where I was 2 to 1 chip lead 4 handed, only to get knocked out in 3 hands, each of which I was ahead. So gross when that happens. Disagree

------------
Taking a break for supper. Will try and finish the step 2's tonight. Currently sitting on 4 step 2's, 1 step 1 and 7 step 3's. Will likely have enough points to buy another step 1, plus after Rb will have almost enough cash for 4 more shots. That is, unless people want me to just bank the money.

------------
Running again

------------
Okay, so finally got enough points to buy another step 1, which I did which leaves us at:

8 Step 3's
3 step 2's
1 step 1.

Hoping I can wrap this up tomorrow. Quitting now, because games aren't loading anymore. Overall, great session. 2nd last tourney, 5 handed with like 130 chips left, managed to end up winning a step 3 Smile Chip and a chair ftw. Definitely UP quite a bit from this session, though I'm still not happy with how things have gone overall.

So no-ones given me input here. What do I do with the cash we have? Bank it, or buy 4 more step 1's?

Well, given the time that it took to run this out, I might be hardpressed to find investors again, unless this turns into a wildly profitable venture.

Just go back and read my OP, it basically explains expectations, as well as projected profit. I can be honest and say that I've played this out to the best of my ability, but run into some massive swings due to variance. Aside from that, with the right player, I'm 100% sure this kind of venture can be profitable. The biggest problem we've run into, is being able to get the proper volume due to the relatively small player base on FT. If not for that, this would have been done ages ago.

On the other hand, PS has a rather large player base, and a steps system as well. I haven't looked into it in detail, but if it's similar to FT, it's quite possible something like this could be done on PS.

------------
Wrapping up my session for now. Got some chores to do, but will try and play out the last remaining step 1, and see if I can get some matrix games rolling as well.

So, after all we may see a closing in this one by tomorrow?
Or you will wait for February 29th? Smile

If you had completed the whole thing so far, you would have got more people interested
already for a new series, from what it seems, by looking on uhhcalmi's post.

Anyways good luck with the remaining games.

checked them out a couple of times this week and nothing...best one was last Saturday. had six registered and don't think it loaded, got tired of waiting. Based on that, figure these may take some time to complete. NP tho it is what it is. Smile

don't want to be pain in the ass & it's not my problem really, but you could consider writing down a backup plan just in case the matrix tourneys do not load at all or take a lifetime to complete- i watched them a few times (was interested in having a go at omaha hi/lo one, but no luck- it seemed that i am on yachting poker & not full tilt Big Smile).
anyways- good luck at whatever you choose Thumbs Up

One of the problems with this type of set up is Retri has to play out the tickets in order to cash out. The other option is to continue playing in the steps tourneys and try to cash out in the higher levels and that really wasn't the original deal. Among other things, the player base has changed since Tilt has reopened...as we all know my neighbours to the South can't play there yet and they provided a large influx of Dollar. IMHO best we can do here is be patient and let it run it's course, restlessness and hurry can only endanger success. Back n the day (win or lose) this would have been done by now. It's a new day now and going with the flow is not a problem from my vantage point. As mentioned earlier above, it is what it is, and we'll have to play smarter not harder. Smile

yes i am aware of this, what i had i mind- he can use those step 3 tickets (i believe this is the point he want to start playing matrix tourneys) to enter other tourneys: sng, mtt's, satellites etc. not just the matrix ones...then again it's only up to him & his investors...i'm just passing by with my comments Big Smile
