I predict a lot of christmas shopping on the 13th. Seriously though I don't know anyone who has entertained the idea that the world might end, and if any of my friends are then I seriously need to reevaluate who I let be my friend.

Not sure if its gonna be the end of the world, but it definitely shall be the end of a time as we know it. I believe there are big changes coming, Humand kind has been suffering for too long, while only few "chosen" despite them being not chosen over us! they are us, and we are them, they just dont realise that. Poisons in food, in clothing, chemtrails in air, boy i could write a very long story on this one. Since ive been exploring these areas. And you guys can think im crazy or whatever, i don't care. For me its always gonna be about looking for deeper purpose, i cannot change it because thats just me, each of us is unique, each of us has talents, all this is done in the time we are born. Numerology is very interresting too (sadly it turned into mainstream bullsh**, so its a "big" business right now.. and astrology about the same.. oh shame on you money once again) the same greedyness is the reason of so much evil in our world. However "we the people" can make the change. But we have to stand and fight as one. Im sure you guys would agree with most of the points i have made, doesn't matter how much skeptic you are or materialistic based. These are values that are strong for everyone of us. And together we can make a better world to live in. Peace with you friends

Does anyone else find it somewhat Ironic that a topic like this is posted with a name like that? Not making fun of your name as I indulge in it myself, just pointing out the glaring irony
I think to some degree we ARE heading towards a global disaster. I mean the proof is out there. We're seeing crazy weather, odd animal migration, species spontaneuously dying en masse, and a whole slew of other odd things that paint a pretty grim picture.
I'm not saying 12/21/12 is gunna be the end of us all, but someday in the not so distant future we're all fucked. At this point I think we've all done so much irreversible damage to earth, that it's only a matter of time.

Essentially climate change - they say from 2-6 degree Celsius by end of 21st Century - which is huge, expected is around 4C.
And yes, in all likely hood the damage already done has crossed the threshold and regardless of any measure we now undertake to reduce the damage we're causing, it's probably too little too late and we're definitely going to see some changes in the 'near' future. Then of course there's the whole peak-oil thing too.

People these days (last hundred years or so) always assume that ancients made these predictions on a physical level. People along time ago were a lot more spiritual back then so they were talking about the end of a spiritual age NOT a physical one. A lot of the bible was taken in the wrong context. People think its meanings are about the physical aspect of life. When it's mostly about the spiritual aspect.

So no. The world isn't going to end
It's not going to undergo some stupid new age spiritual awakening / enlightenment / revolution / whatever either.
Whether you (not you specifically, you as in anyone) think the so-called prophecy is of the physical nature OR of the spiritual variety, it's a moot point because it's total b******t either way.
However - for all those claiming it's a spiritual thing, they're of course going to have mighty convenient ways of explaining the nothing that happens come the magic date. And also be able to say s**t like "Yeah, I can feel my spirit vibrating on a higher frequency now, it's opened up my chakras" and various other nonsensical rubbish, rather than admitting nothing happened. Whereas those saying the world is literally going to end or act least dramatically alter in an ACTUAL OBJECTIVE fashion, it's going to be harder for those types to come up with some b******t reason as to why nothing happened, although - I have no doubt they WILL think of some dumb excuse.
history has taught us time and again that these types of idiots (New Age wack jobs and assorted prophecy followers/makers) never admit they're wrong, they always without fail just spout some more b******t as the cover story.

ok mate listen up the earth is gonna be here long after all of us a dead an gone. The earth is NOT going anywhere and it is NOT dying. It might be sick and tired of humanity and is taking steps to remove our stupid arses, But rest assured the Earth will endure and it will right itself in time. It just needs to waste us then it will clean and rebuild itself again. The real question is will the next species to take our place on top of the food chain will also develop poker to entertain itself? I mean I like to think poker is eternal.
i really hope not because my new years resolutions are to get better at poker . i want to stop smoking and i could use the money i save to start my new poker game.
