bankroll management is one of my biggest weaknesses and i have a million times got up to 1000$ and then in one night i try some nl100 and the i loose 1buyin ad then i play at nl2000

Hehe stop doing that and climb the ladder instead....in that way your skills will match the level and your bankroll will match your level. The best way to do it I think Cool

I know a few people lost everything in high levels even they made a lot money in the mid levels.... Just pay out the money and keep just a lil part .... maybe about 2000 in your account but be happy with your winnings

I had a free bankroll for party poker and i did well for about $200 and then everything went down hill.. but that was with a different promotion site.

Nice bankroll and gd luck with the NL200 but your BRM is questionable. 20 buy ins should be a minimum for any level, 30 preferably and 50 to be on the safe side. It is quite usual especially when playing 6 handed to encounter downswings of 15 + BI's. Therefore playing a limit with only 10 buyins as you suggested to tormulainen is absolutely crazy and the best way to go bankkrupt. I don't have much experience of Party as i play at full tilt but if they are similar then the rake at micro limits are a real killer and therefore you need to have atleast 30 buy-ins if you are going to beat the limit. Anyway gd luck in the future hope you continue to make good profits

A nice result =) You or even a very good player, either you are very lucky =)
But all may be, my friend for 2 weeks increased its start-up capital of up to 25 dollars to 1k $. The truth is he played mostly MTT and a little Omaha.

Hehe I dont believe it's luck over so many hands it's simple ABC poker the best way to beat the low stakes I think nothing fancy just str8 forward.

@Mago666
good luck at PP great site with many fish but also many regulars so you have to be alert Smile

@Iveyshome
Please read #18 again you obviously didn't read it completely.

i did read it and you state than 20 buy ins is a good amount which its not, and you also say that experienced players can buying in for 10% of their bankroll i.e 10 buy ins. Any experienced player should know that downswings can be as much as 15-20 buy ins, especially when playing short handed.

I did say I would not recommend it (rocket) but I do think that 20BI as minimum is ok remember minimum meaning maybe 30BI or more would be preferable but 20BI as min. Better to have to much than to litle. I have had some evil swings so I know how important brm is which I also wrote up in this thread. That was actually what I was explainen how important brm is the keyword. My point was if(I started by saying I wouldn't recommend it but....) if you want to build a roll you can also play out of roll as long as you are willing to step down immediately. Examlpe: you get 25$ here from Bankrollmob

Play NL10 or lower if the site has it when you get to...let's say 400$ you got 375$ profit but you could take it as 275$ profit and a ticket for NL100 while you know that you can't rebuy and it's just a stab. If it goes well perhaps you can jump to NL25 and make a ticket for NL200 Smile and if it goes bad you continue grinding the level you were playing before.
It was just a kind of secured rocket I was trying to explain.

BTW the thread is about my Party bankroll not total bankroll Blink

I still think this is luducris. If you are playing NL 10 and then jump to NL 100 the standard and style of the players will be so much different. It is much more beneficial to grind through the limits and beat them through a good understanding of the game and your oppenents. You can play very standard robotic poker at NL10 and beat the limit quite easily, if you took the same style of play to NL100 you would get beat.

Yep but atleast you understood it now Blink I think it's luducris too....thats why I said I would not recommend it. I actually recommended people in this thread to climb the ladder from the buttom so your skills fits the level you are playing which fits your bankroll. So it's all just a misunderstanding cause you didnt read all. So please read fully before commenting next time.
It's not everyone that are beginners in here so some people may be good enough to grind up a steady roll for NL10 and then take a stab at NL100 to boost the roll or just continue grinding like they would have anyways Cool

If you read this post(or atleast my comments) you would find all things you are trying to correct me in I have all ready said and you just didn't read it all or thorough enough.

Sticky Thumbs Up

@GeneYuss

4 tables NL50 or 2 tables NL100 once a while I play a litle NL200 but I try to stick with the correct bankroll management. Im still using PokerOffice but maybe I'll go back to Pokertracker soon.

You have a bankroll of 3k but you are playing NL200, therefore you are not using the 20 buy in rule.

I understand you are saying that you do not recommend 10 buy ins, but i commented on this thread initally because i thought that 20 buy ins was very risky for shorthanded play, i really would recommend at least 30. I understand you are not English and therefore do not understand me very well and maybe cannot express what you are trying to say. Anyway we will leave it at that. Good luck

So you didn't get it....this thread is about my Party bankroll not total bankroll so don't worry I can play NL200 if I want once a while Blink Besides that you obviously didn't get the part where I said I had withdrawn 1K from PP which would make my bankroll at PP at that moment 4171,91 which is within my minimum 20BI rule Blink
Perhaps you should take some english lessons cause you seem to be the only 1 in the forum having trouble understanding me Blink

BTW: I have now argumented for everything you could come up with...every time I answer you start on something new Smile please don't hesitate to contact me in this thread if you got anything else that you need explained Blink and please in the future don't take words out of context. I said I played NL50 or NL100 with my PP account and once a while NL200.

Woh man i wasnt trying to have an arguement with you i was just giving you my opinion im sorry if iv offended you that wasnt my aim. I am not tyring to tell you how to play its just that i come from another website were brm is a big deal with many articles being written about the subject, its an important part of poker and i was just giving you my ideas its your choice whether to listen or not. Once again i really wasnt trying to have an arguement with you, i apologize if you feel i was offending you. Please continue to play NL200 if you wish lol.
