It is not much better than a freroll. Bingopoker, as it is called here. Makes the variance of MTTs even more extreme. One will see good starting hands cracked by complete junk a lot of the time.

MTTs hold the promise of big money . Who doesn't dream of having a really big win? You can win 200 or 300 times the amount you invested with just a small buy-in.Micro buy in is like bingo, all in for 100 MTT,and get in one the money back

Posted by justbadbeat: Bascially for me, most of the player i met in mirco MTT are gamble, they can all in pre flop 27o in their 1st very hand
Well from my personal experience it is just like a freeroll. people will play complete crap all in preflop and hope for the best. it is like being at a table filled with all Russian players. It is a total bingo donk fest. I find you need to get out of the micro stacks if you want to play a good game.

Micro mtt's are true donk fest mtt's !!!!!
They are no better than a freeroll... people play very loose as as the money which they invest in does'nt matter them at all!! making an itm in micro mtts involve a lot of luck !!!

You'll see a lot of players that play reckless in the lower buyin MTT's and as stated you'll lose your chips to some donk hand. You see even more reckless / careless play in the micro's which allow rebuys. I've seen players go allin hand after hand. Now, as for micro SnG's I don't think they're near as bad. If you play in the $1.10 to $5.50 (18 to 45 Player) SnG's you can place in the money / win quite often. IslandJack has a thread here in the forum which is worth reading and abiding to. I'm sure you'd have to scroll back through for quite a ways to find it, but it's called "Playing in the Micro SnG's" or something like that. Easier to track by locating his nickname "Islandjack". Good Luck and Merry Christmas to All!

imo anything that's micro is not cool- probably guys will agree with this oh right getting back to mtt's - since it's micro stakes, this means it's micro financial risk, i doubt if losing $0.02 will hit your budget heavily, so having this in mind, most of people just play very loose in those games...and most of the time tourney structure is even encouraging you to do so

Yeah probably the games to buy in 5$ are almost the same then freerools, maybe few more players who know what are they doing. But what i have see on those game are like, any ace is the nuts, a2 off preflop easy call all in and stuff like that haha. I don't like to play them, if i want gamble i play freeroll at least i have nothing to loose.
