Would be interesting to know how many people are up in online gambling this year.
I will start of by saying i am down a few K this year playing online casino and poker. Havent made many withdrawels this year and most of my losses where online casino and a little from poker. I have had some wins wins but obviously more losses
So people be honest....does online gambling make you rich ??

i like the wise words from bullettooth1: "i can never be down because i never deposit my own money" i think this is very cool approach to gambling- just take whatever freebies possible: ndb/freerolls/promos etc. and try to build your roll from that- in worst case scenario you can only have a break-even year.

G'day mates Well I was only able to play for the last 3 months of the 2012 year because I was living in the USA until moving back to Canada in mid September. I lost money the first two months made money in December but all in all finished down about $200 not bad when you think I was down almost $1500 in November. It was the last week of two days of the 2012 year when I dropped $500 that put me under. I am already even and moving up this year though

The money I won at BRM Xmas Tourney was great but not enough to cover my expenses throughout the year. Still, I feel happy for last year’s summary, because by my calculations I only lost $10, which is the same as saying I ended even. I also received half of a payment for having played a “sponsored” game, which was very profitable. If I receive the other half this year (which I hope I do, no one deserves to be owning for so long with no tax on those delayed payments), I will start 2013 already with profits.
Have to agree...haven't deposited any of my own money on any online poker site. This year wound up, up about $300.00 and played about 360 days...all at micro stakes. Right now trying to break out of a six month down swing. Bankroll mngt saves my butt along with a healthy refusal to say die.

Good day everyone A happy new year
@bullettooth1 - Amazing man !! keep up the good work !! good luck
coming back to mine i'm down by almost 150$ ... i played sick and loose and had no knowledge about strategy or anything till i lost it , i was a newbie and a big time fish !!! after that i have evolved by reading and watching vids etc i have built a small bankroll from freerolls which im currently playing with in a month or so ill have enough to move up the stakes , hope 2013 i do well
I unfortunately have not won in 2012 but fortunately not lost This year I'm going to play more freerolls and try to win tickets to finally dust off a fat profit : D

This industry was created to take money from people not to make them rich. For me 2012 was a positive year regarding income from poker combined with sport betting, not much around 700$.Made a lot of mistakes during the year, hope not repeated this year Good luck

Well, at least a few people here had money on FT, so I suspect some of us ended up being in the + column, just because we finally got our balances back
Even without FT coming back, 2012 was a good year poker wise for me.

Hello Amigo
Let me congratulate you on a fantastic start to 2013. I have just finished another positive session myself and play to continue to move upward. I was specking with a SuperNova player from last year on PStars and he was telling me to always be ready to suffer a down swing after every cashout. He said it never fail that after every cash out he has a 5-7 day losing streak were nothing seems to go his way. I asked him how he deals with that and has answer was interesting to me. What he said was that after each cash out he drops down to the 0.01/0.02 cent tables to play for about 5 days of play then when things seem to have gone back to normal he moves right back up and makes more money again. Anyone else notice this type of trend after a cashout?

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard, and I'm suprised a winning player would say that, let alone one who's achieved SNE. That logic is right up there in the same category as "Online poker is rigged". It's a total bs theory/myth that you hit downswings whenever you "cashout". Variance is math, nothing more. Math doesn't know when you cash out plain and simple.

so what if it's the same as telling poker is rigged- i think as long as it works for the guy it's a good strategy. in poker no one cares how u make money, how stupid or smart u are- as long as u show profit at the end of the year= you're a good player, and vice versa...hope u all have a profiatble year, one way or another, cheers
