There are probably plenty of books with all the standard rules.. More complicated issues are generally at the discretion of the TD (Tournament Director) in a live MTT, the floor manager for live cash tables and the poker sites admin/security for online play.

That's an interesting thought! Never seemed to even think about such a thing, but like jess stated, officials for tournaments probably have a lot of rukes to observe or lookout for during competitions.
It would be an interesting read and if anyone runs across a site or book please post it.

G'day mate
The general answer is No. However there are hundreds of book out on the bookstore shelves and of course floating around the web which talks about the general accepted rules of poker. However it also depends on just exactly which variant of poker you are asking about since each game is played using different rules of play. I have read a lot of poker books and you can always count on a chapter in each book which states what hands beat what, along with a breakdown of hand higharchy. (sp??)
I would love to ead one which was short, sweet, and simply to the point but I have never seen it.

As has been said I think the general rules of poker are well known, but any differences are held by the TD in live tourneys, or by the online website you are on. As regards general poker etiquette lots of Pro's have commented on these in their own books, but the one I have read and found funny is Phil Helmuth's - imagine he has any etiquette??

YES, you can pre-order it i think, anyways it's gonna be released sometime this year, written by Ronin Harper & the title is: "The importance of maintaining a calm and patient attitude when playing poker with four love sick Sasquatches (Big Foot's) after you tell them that watching Sara Underwoods Nude Yoga on my laptop does not make them Yoga Masters"
