Been temperatures close to 50 Celsius (top around 48) last few days with the temperatures now predicted to go over 50 in the coming days.. huzah.
Currently -32 celsius here. Although I still hate you for not being waste deep in snow, I can't say I'd trade you. With the cold, at least I can get naked snuggles to warm up. No naked snuggles happening when it's that hot.

yeah I am kind of the same when it comes to feelings about too hot vs too cold.. Generally speaking (with modern living of course) you can do a LOT more about being cold.. When it's too hot, there is just f**k all you can do about it. Although, I've come round to the heat a lot more as I get older, I used to really hate it.
------------ Anything over 40C can seriously suck a d**k. Not sure about -30C never experienced it to be honest, I mean, it *does* snow a little not so far from where I am, in the winter - but nothing like what you have in Canada.. And I am guessing a Canadian summer is nothing like our summer.

Oh yeah man, here, car accidents are like a daily Occurence. We're not a big city, only roughly 300k population, so our major "highway" circles our city. Seen some pretty bad accidents on that road, including flipped cars, and cars buried face first in a 5 foot snow drift lol. You either get used to driving defensively here, or you'll get hurt.
You've never experienced -30? Hah, well here we usually see a few days during the worst part of winter, where we see upwards of -40 and sometimes even -50 with the windchill. You haven't lived until you've scraped ice off your windshield in weather that cold, just so you can drive

In Poland, we sometimes have temperatures like -15, -20... About moth ago, the temperature was between -15 at morning, and -10 at noon...
Car accidents are really nightmares in Poland. We have the worst road in Europe... 10 peoples die per 100 accidents, so it's the worst results in Europe too. In 2012 in Poland almost 3600 peoples die on the road...

I mean -50 celcius !!? jeees...brrrrrrr...thats cold. We here in the Netherlands cant even handle -15.. There was one night this winter when it was -15 celcius at night. Trains delayed, accidents ..whole country talking about it.
Guess we are a bunch whimps here when it comes to cold. Never ever wanne feel -50 to be honest. You cant even piss with -50...your d**k would be gone and you will piss ice
you've got the fires to go with that heat as well. Firebombing aircraft was my specialty. Been all over Europe and North America fighting forest fires with firebombing aircraft of all types. The best ones today are the Super Scoopers...they load from lakes without stopping. Have lots of hours in them. As far as the cold goes, when younger worked from frozen lakes hauling cargo to the far North before there were runways and airports up there. -40 daytime and -50 nitetime without the windchill was normal. We worked up to 30 minutes outdoors and had to go indoors 20 minutes to thaw out...clothes were frozen board stiff preventing one from being able to move. As far as heat goes the hottest countries were Spain, Greece, and Zaire above +40 by 10 am everyday and smokin hot in the afternoon. Hopefully you're a safe distance from the fires.

Its been quite mild here, but snow expected in the next few day, good news is I get the road to myself and get to slide around and have fun, bad news I have to work in it and offered to teach the wench how to drive.

Not to intrude on your post here, but today and yesterday here in northern Indiana it's been 50 to 60 F which is very unusual for this time of year in these parts. The older I get the harder it is for me to deal with the cold so I'm jealous of the temps jess is living in down under.
Actually wintr has just began here! Spring isn't until March, but it's generally late April before it actually starts to look like Spring so we've got a ways to go! [:cryin]

Hire the solicitor now. Teaching the other half to drive invariably leads to divorce.

We risk the divorce every time I'm a passenger when she drives
