So i was playing in a PLO8 tourney on 888poker again. i was doing well until this hand. Preflop action: cutoff limps. i do on the button. sb (villain) makes up.
Flop: villain min bets 300. cutoff calls. i raise to 1800 (thinking, i have the nut flush draw, inside straight draw and a pair. i want chips into this pot) villain calls, cutoff folds.
Turn: not a great turn for me but i still have plenty of outs. the villain checks. he has just short of a pot size bet left so i think he probs hasn't got the straight so i put him all in. He insta calls and all he has is a pair of three's and the second nut flush draw (i'm very happy with this).
Then the river hits
I'm stunned to say the least. what was this guy thinking? urgh!
Anyway i got my chips upto about 9k then lost them all a few hands after, with some nasty suckouts lol.
i posted this one because this is what started it off and it was probs the worst one. I'm pretty new to PLO8 so any constructive criticism is welcome

ok if we analyze this hand only, then this guy probably thought he was chasing nut flush, plus he had a chance to hit str8, plus he thought u might have something like a pair or two pairs, no low hand possible, so he was looking for a scoop. obviously these sort of customers are why plo hi/lo is worth playing, in the back of his mind he had an idea that king high flush is way cool, but in plo hi/lo u should be chasing the nuts if u want to end up in profit in the long run

The villan called your flop raise and was committed to the pot from the amount of chips he had left on the turn(correct me if i'm wrong). If you believed he had a straight why would you put him all in(thought process?) instead of checking and hopefully hit your flush, straight or a full house.
Nut flush vs 2nd is very common in plo. He got very lucky on the river even though you had him dominated. This can be very frustrating but try keep in mind that you had best hand going all in and was +ev.

Thats almost classic in Omaha, for players chasing flush. And you havent seen anything yet. He was chasing with King high. If you continue playing more often Omaha, you will be amazed with what flush high cards, some chase till river.

I have really bad session from yesterday too. Yesterday I played like 2 hours and got beaten with fullhouse against quads (I was all in on turn and he got it on river..) then one time fullhouse against fullhouse (on bubble) and today with flush K high against nuts flush and few other times got rivered ... but still I made 2.5 euros on cashgame at 3c/6c table

One thing I watch for and usually won't bet more then 2 times BB is the flush and straights. They very common so it's best to play tight unless you have the nuts, but then you need to make sure there aren't any pairs on the board. If there is and a player is making big bets or allin a good chance they have the fullhouse.
Like you said, you had a lot of outs, but so does most players or at least we like to think so when playing PLO. I'm getting better, but I've actually been playing some Stud and took down top three the other day. That's my best so far. Good Luck!

He could easely have you crushed already on the turn and even on the flop. You putting him all in with a few draws after the turn in PLO8 is not a good move. Normaly only a hand who has you beat would call that bet so BAD bet on the turn.
Now he calling that turn bet of course is a donk call as he´s praying for a miracle river.
You should have just checked the turn and he would go all in on the river and you have to fold but you would have saved some $
