Posted by zeroster: Yeah that's not exactly helping me is it? If pokershark just sees a load of abuse every time he logs on here he's going to be less inclined to come back and sort it out.
You should realize, that people abuse him for lying. If he admitted earlier, that he lose money and try to build up again, it would be OK. But if he lying about his play - it's not OK isn't it? But OK - you have right - it case between two of you. So I'm back off.

Thanks Mysik I appreciate that. Yeah I realize why people are abusing him, and I'm certainly not defending him. It's just that at this time it might be jeopardizing any chance I have of being paid back.

sorry zeroster, i understand it's not funny to u, but hey you took the risk, it didn't payoff (at least it seems so)- just move on & forget about it. lesson learned- there are very few people you can trust...anyways to you for being a good person!

Yeah that's the way I'm looking at it, it was a gamble like any other. I could stand losing the money, it's the bullsh1t that annoyed me. He's totally spineless if he couldn't pay me back he should have just manned up and said so.

I wasn't going to post in this thread.. Partly because I felt a bit guilty about encouraging this kind of thing just prior to this going ahead. And I know it's against BRM rules for exactly this reason, those of us who've been around a while have seen it all before and seen the rules come into effect for that matter.
It annoys me mostly because it just reflects badly on all of us and makes admin have to crack down on this kind of thing because it's not healthy for the forum.
Pokershark: I'm sure you're lurking around, zeroster is a good guy and I'm sure he doesn't really give a s**t about $20, it's just a matter of respect. It's not even that you didn't stick to the games you said you would or that you weren't able to pay anything back in the end. It's that you treat him and everyone else with disrespect when you come up with a load of bulls**t. Just be a fucking man, it's only $20, no one is going to care that much. It's all the lying and bulls**t that upset people, not losing $20.

That's it exactly jess. I'm not a total fool and actually knew a week ago, when he came up with some BS about a new credit card, that I wasn't getting my money back. Just wanted to give him a chance to come through in the end. That's why I gave him a week to get his act together or fess up.
Oh well I guess his self respect and reputation is worth less than $25 after all.

I just want to give you my opinion.
I think that pokershark has damaged his reputation here on this forum BUT coming clean and trying to sort this out takes a lot from a man and even though this is messed up, the simple act of admitting a mistake and taking responsibility for it and trying to make it right is huge. For that, I actually kinda respect pokershark.
Good luck with sorting this out you guys, I'm sure you'll find a way to do it!
------------ Okey, I missed this last page of the thread before I posted.
Well, I hope that you'll get your money back zero, but I doubt it...

My biggest question is why did you do this in the first place zeroster ?? Did you know the guy ? Have you talked to him prior to the loan ?? You say its like every other gamble but its not...it wasnt a gamble it was trowing money away.

Yeah I guess you're right really. I just didn't recon on someone with two years membership and over 600 posts scamming for less than $25. Oh well, my mistake, you live and learn.

Hey no worries it doesn't seem like you're dissing me from here.
Yes I could afford to lose it, it did represent about a quarter of my roll but I'm not a serious grinder playing for profit. It was, in the end just play money and less than the price of a few pints I might buy for a mate in the pub.
