The official schedule for the 2013 World Series of Poker has now been released. The tournament series will include 62 bracelet events and run from May 29 to July 7 at the All-Suite Hotel & Casino. During the opening weekend, a new "Millionaire Maker" (Event 6) will be played. The tournament will have a buy-in of $1,500 and will see one person taking home $1,000,000!

That new event 6 may attract lots of people. Although the buy-in is a considerable value, the chance of getting the hands on $1M may make many players to forget the value of $1,500 for once and risk them at the tables. For those not too fortunate that may think about wanting to play that tourney, it’s a matter of thinking about it as a very good experience. Almost everyone would pay $1,500 for some nice vacation, many would give it to have the chance to pass one day on a luxurious car, others would spend them on crazy partners “doing everything you want” in one hour… Why not investing them on a game, with the chance of being rewarded with one million dollars?

Like an unstoppable tournament juggernaut, the WSOP has slipped into gear once again ahead of its summer poker festival.The organizers released their 2013 schedule as well as some interesting (and potentially controversial) changes, such as a split entry fee for this year's Ladies Event.

really nice what the did with the ladys event: to pretend men to play in thhis event,they sat the buy in on 10k,but they give a 9 k refund for ladies so that men gotta pay 10k but women just 1 k. gotta love the idea

What??? This doesn’t make any sense! This is the most sexist thing I’ve ever saw on poker! TO have different tourneys is one thing, like there should also exist men-only MTT’s. But to give shorter buy-ins to ladies for the same competition men are entering too it’s just calling girls the worst names possible, like telling them no one is believing one of you will make it to the final, and only a few, if any, will make it to the paid places, so you won’t be giving any prejudice to the game, you will only be contributing less to the men who will be winning all of it!
