I never folded AA preflop too, but truth is that I never faced to 5 players allin preflop with AA
Question is how did you want to play that tourney. If you didnt want to coinfliping (actually its not coinfliping at all cause you can win much more chips ) preflop early in tourney, its not bad to fold, cause 6 handed with aces, your chance to win hand will not be over 50% for sure.
If you didnt care too much, its definitively call
Here is one example where you can see some odds in 6 handed allin situation

This kind of tables is only possible at freerolls (in the early stages)
As it s a freeroll I would defenitely call ---> here 35 % chance of a very good start, otherwise you re out better luck next time...
But in a DoN it s sometimes usefull to fold hands like AA or KK ....
ex 6 players left, top 5 ITM
player 1 6000 chips, player 2 5000 chips , player 3 4000 chips , player 4 3000 chips, me 2500 chips and player 6 2000 chips
if player 6 goes all in and players 1+4 called him I would fold with any cards (AA or KK)
as : player 1 or 4 wins --> player 6 is out and I am in the money
player 6 wins and gets 6000 chips, player 4 gets down to 1000 chips and player 1 4000 chips
So in general I am getting closer to the money with no risk by folding (or player 6 looses or player 4 becomes shortstack with lower chipstack)

That's why these games are called freerolls. You need to put all in or make a high bet preflop no matter what, well maybe a lil bit depends at what stage freeroll is...You cannot know who's playing it seriouslyl and who for fun at the start of the tournament ofcourse ...Just secure your hand preflop and hope for the best so less players cracks you.
