Not really. There are many politicians that doing it for the fame and power. Cant say the same for donks in poker though. Their common thing is that they are messing it for the majority

From time to time,server give winning cards to a donk just to take money from a decent player,tilt him and make him vulnerable to mistakes.After a few hands the donk lose his money in the same scene,trying to steel the pot.So everybody has to deposit and the poker room move on with the cash.Wonderful life for gamblers
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity and unfortunately there is no shortage of stupidity in this world. Every once in a while even a donk is going to get lucky and when a tournament starts with more donks than players with real poker skills it's going to take a while to get rid of them. Unfortunately they will take a lot of good poker players out along they way.

urghhh... I don't know what it is today but it really seems like there are a lot more donks online than usual... For obvious reasons PokerStars is exploding with people and tables. But on PKR the donks are just out to get me today.

haha right,and who knows how much time have to pass before they start to make correct decisions... although more people suffer because of goverment mistakes then those that donks make. good luck

Well I would much rather deal with a donk then a government idiot. Lets face it the donk is a better caliber of human being then some of the Aholes you halve to deal with when dealing with a member of the government. That is just the way it seems to me personally.
