I still think Its too soon for me, but I am gonna try to play with real money. Yea I decided to leave my lovely freerols for next month I will start with 50$ bankroll.. I know its small and it will be hard to make it bigger (150$ would be ideal for me), but I dont want to put my own money on it. Not now.
By playing freerols I am able to make 40-80 dollars in month. Do you think I will be able to make that money starting with 50 dollars?
And I want to hear your advices which pokersite from PS, FT, WH or Uniibet and why with this bankroll. I want to play tourneys or SNG. NO CASH GAME. What do you think which SNG are the most profitable?
At the end of April (or If I lose my bankroll lol) I will decide If I will continue or comeback to free rolls)

Personally I like 9 to 45 player SnG's that are $1.10 to $2.20. I even play the $5.50 when I on the upward trend. There are also the double your money games SnG's which are usually 10 players and range from $1.00 to whatever which pay the top five. Thesere usually profitable especially when you wait until the blinds are 50 / 100 unless you get monster hand sto play before and that's KK or AA maybe QQ or AK, but play catiously and no allin unless you have the nuts

Well, in terms of your $50 bankroll, I'd say the DON's are perfect. They are pretty low variance, and super easy to beat if you can pick up on who the weak/tight players are who are just looking to make the money. Steal their blinds relentlessly, and it's easy game.
You haven't said where you plan on playing. About the only decent place I can think of for DONS is 888. Poker stars doesnt have straight up dons anymore, they have the 50/50's which are actually quite a bit different. You are basically forced to play solid throughout, since chip count plays such a huge part in whether you can beat them or not. It's not just enough to end up in the top 5, you have to at least have some chips or you'll end up losing.

Hey Goodluck, as already mentioned DoNs are generally regarded as safe bankroll builders - the strategy (at those stakes at least) is relatively easy to learn, albeit a bit boring. But the variance is relatively low in DoNs compared to many other formats.. Just make sure you play somewhere that doesn't completely RAPE you for rake in micro-stakes SNGs, some sites charge 15%, 20% even 25% or 30% on micro/small SNGs, so careful!

40+ dollars per month on freerolls is pretty good; why not build your bankroll that way? An how come you only have a $50 starting roll now?
To make that same amount using $50 in real money games, you'd have to double your money (at least the first month). If you apply proper bankroll management, that will be a lot of work.
Good luck, and try to manage your bankroll properly, because it will tell you where you are at in terms of being able to play profitably. If you play outside your bankroll it's easy to go bust, or double up, but you won't have a good idea, whether it was variance or not. Maybe I should wish you average luck, so as not to skew the results

Have to agree with fakiry here, DoN are a good way to build up your bankroll.
strategy to use ... as tight as possible, observe opponents ... and avoid risks
In the beginning it s better to call even with monster hands and play passive and hope one of your opponents plays to aggressive
Second thing : if your playing freerolls such succesfull (40 $ a month) , you do not have to stop playing them... you can combine them with SNG...
GL and be carefull with your bankroll and keep us informed

It's not that small for a start. I have just a couple of advices for you, in case you are interested. You are, until now, a freeroll man, so that means you are used to play MTT. MY advice for you is: don't lose yourself in the big offer of the room in which you will be playing. You will see SnG's, Ring, Rush, Tourneys from all sizes... Stick to one or two types of game, not more, or else you will see your bankroll flying everywhere instead of growing just because you wanted to try something different. You will have time for that after making your cashier grow, in the begining you have to think as a stock investor: chose two types of games, so that if one goes wrong the other may run better and compensate.

thanks for your advices guys, I appreciate it. DoN SNG looks like the best option for me too, I will try them. Maybe also some 0,55-1,10$ buy-in tourneys, 1-2 daily or so..
regarding to my bankroll.. I dont know, I am just too greedy and everytime I made more than 40-50 dollars on some pokersite I had to withdraw them

Like someone said play DoN's or start in 6/8 man SNG.. i would plainly say play what you feel more confortable with most of the times. Be aware of the rake .. usually turbos/hyper turbos have lower rake but the variance is higher aswell. Anyways good luck!
40 to 80 bucks on freerolls per month? You must be playing at all sites at the same time

Yea I use to play on more sites at evening. Like 5-6 free rolls in day. Some of them are restricted to only Slovak or Czech players, so the field of players isnt that big. Dont think I am that succesfull in free rolls with 4000 players with 20$ prizepool or so, they are absolutely not worth to play

ye i don't play them only some who function like sattelites to bigger tournaments. Anyways it's not that bad of an amount.. i mean if your doing that consistently you could get a nice bankroll in a few months and start playing mtt's or something.

hey Weenie i played with u a few times in home games- u look like a solid player to me. really think you have what it takes to move from the freerolls to the "big boys zone"...even if sh1t happens and you lose your roll, you can always go back to freerolls and refill your roll with those $40-80 a month. gl

guys don't forget that the rigged place is full of poker pro's, so the fact that Weenie made it to the bubble twice shows that he can play with poker superstars on even par.

The amount you get from freerolls per month is a good one. And the restricted freerolls as you mention are the ones that you can be more profitable. No matter what your decision will be, it will no cost you if it happens to lose, if you parallel play the specific freerolls. gl on your try.

I remember I played freerolls for 1 year. Just freerolls, then finally used that winnings for playing in real money games. Its an exciting but bumpy road, and I hope you will make it bud!
