I am an idiot :( Learn from my mistake   0
G'day mate

I am an Idiot! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

Well I decided I wanted to just get my VIP bonus cleared in one session and so I went up to a higher level rounder table and sat down with my entire bank roll.
I got dealt pocket Aces and did a 4 bet got two callers.
Flop comes out it was 3, 5, queen, all spades and I got the Ace of spades so I C-bet 3 big blinds.
1 caller and 1 fold at this point.
the Turn card comes out and it is a 6 of spades.
I now have an Aces high flush and believe I am way ahead.
I should mention that I have been playing on this table for over an hour at this point and the idiot in the hand with me is a Ukrainian player who has played over 95% of the hands all the way to the river.
This moron has never been told he is allowed to fold before the river.
He checks to me ant I bet 70% of the pot a $50 bet and he shoves all in over top of me.
It will cost me my last $21 to call his all in shove it is a monster pot with over $200 in the middle.
Yes I call and I am now all in.
He shows his cards, they are king of hearts and 7 of spades.
The F'ing river hits and it is a damn 4 spades.

What the f**k is this s**t Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

I am so tired of these morons constantly getting rewarded for their incredible bad play over and over and over. I really am starting to think the site software is sit up to help morons win to keep them coming back over and over so that they will keep paying the rake.

I am an idiot for NOT using any Bankroll Management.
I broke the rules and NOW I am broke because of it. Aww crap!

To add insult to injury I missed clearing my VIP bonus by just 6 Vpp's

Now I gotta start grinding freerolls to rebuild myself some cash again.
Well until I win our Easter Game tomorrow Smile

G'day mate

Well I got no excuse.
I knew better and choose to break the rules.
Now I must pay for it with time and frustration.
My bankroll WILL get rebuilt but it might take some time.

I JUST hope that by posting this message that, I might help others learn from my mistake.
If my fellow mobsters think twice before doing what I did then the lesson is worthwhile.

Please learn from my mistake mates.
Protect your bankroll's and use proper management.
Trying to take a shortcut like I did can really hurt you as it has me.

Best of luck to you all.
See you at the Easter Home game Smile

Thats whats happening with this game.
The almost unreal that you think cant happen, happens.
And when it does most of the times costs you more than expected.

And as you said Bankroll Management.

I'm glad that you recognized the fault is yours, i mean is pure gambling to enter with the full bankroll that you have on a higher limit...

Too bad you didn't managed to hit your VIP status, now i guess good luck on freerolls.

In mid february I did a similar thing but that time ( and after a full session of losing against everyone with everything) the poker Gods saved me. Also got dealt aces and after a re-raise pref-lop went all-in with my at the time last $19. the other guy showed AK off and i was relieved or so i thought. the flop brought two diamond cards ( he had the Ad ) and the turn another diamond... so when i was starting to get ready to curse the river was a dead card and the $36 pot was mine Agree ( rake is a bitch )
I've learned that lesson then not to gamble my entire roll anymore... it's too stressful and no fun at all... even after the win i still couldn't feel happy about it. just felt stupid to risk it all in one hand u see. This is in the end just a game... win small lose small who cares but "game over", as i see it, is the real pain in the ass.

No worries mate my silver star status is good until the end of April. I am already registered for several Freerolls and I am certain that I will finish more then one in the money.
Time is all it will take to rebuild my bankrol, also I only need about 650 mobpoints to qualify for a $50 cashout to my moneybookers account so in an absolute worse case situation in less then 3 weeks I can fund my PStars account from BRM.
Plus my roommate has already offered me his sponsorship to get restarted if I want him too.
It is always good to have many options.
Yesterday was offered a sponsorship into the Sunday Million also.
Like I said, I do have options.
I am choosing to go the freeroll rebuild route, in order to retrain myself to NOT make the same dumbarse mistake again.
Making myself relearn proper bankroll management and going to stick to it.
I am NOT a fool most of the time. I realize that taking a stake right now would be to take the easy way out of my situation.
Not going to do that as it will be better for me as a player long term to play my way out of this mess I put myself into.
I know the rules and preach them to others, It would be hypocritical of me to not take proper responsibility for my stupid choice.
I broke the rule and now I am paying the price.
Learn from me my friends and do NOT make the same mistake.

Best of luck to you all.

Well Ronin --> lesson learnt

It s a common sinn --> getting more greedy.... we all know it

When it goes well (in poker, shares , ...) we always want to get more profit by taking more risks...

And afterwards we all know that is was wrong, but its always good to analyze your mistakes and learn from them.

GL in rebuilding your BR

Wow Ronin,....sorry to hear! Been there,...done that!

I don't know if it was greed so much as wanting to stick it to some dumbass bingo queen perogy stuffin' moron...

Those dummies who play with crap all the way to the river are VERY frustrating to play against,... Angry

Getting beat bad by someone who plays a hand well and knocks you down or out is ONE thing,....THAT you can handle, and sometimes congradulate them,....

I hope you get back on track pretty quick Ronin. I admire you for not taking the easy way out Thumbs Up

I've done it myself on two occasions and it took me a long time to get anything decent back. I had to grind the freerolls too and it's not nice.
Good luck bud. Hopefully it's lesson learned Thumbs Up

but i'm quite sure you will be back on your feet in no time

lol standard. Doesn't matter how well you play and how good you get your money in, if you sit with your whole roll at the table you will inevitably go bust. Sooner or later someone is gonna suck out on you and thats it.

Been there, done that!

bummer Thumbs Down Sad

Sorry, for me this is where you lost me. Sorry man, even if he DID suck out, it's irrelevant because you had your whole roll on the line in 1 hand. This is WHY bankroll management is SO important. You may have been only 1% to lose, you had 1% to lose everything you had, instead of a 1% chance to lose and still have a chance to keep playing.

Sorry to be so harsh, but in this scenario you have no one to blame but yourself mate.

I agree and that is why I posted this thread in the hopes that others would learn from my stupidity.
Bankroll management is the single MOST important skill for any serious poker player to master.
I broke this rule and NOW I am paying for it.
Others however can learn from my error if they choose to do so.
MOST people will not heed my warning but if even 1 person does then the lesson is a success.
I have already begun to rebuild my bankroll and in a few weeks it we be right back to where it was before, then I will continue to play within my proper limits again.
I am not asking you to blow smoke up my A$$.
I only hope my example saves somebody else from repeating my mistake.
Knew better and ignored the rule.
Now trying to show others we can all have bad judgement even people whom others consider a great player. We can all loss when the cards go against us.
Do NOT make the same error, Use bankroll management to move forward over the long haul.

Be cool and best of luck in the Easter game. I will see you there Smile

Been there 4x and doubled thru twice and went bust twice...so %50. Get in these moods after getting tired of different sites.

What a sad story dude!....However, If I had been in your situation I would've pushed all-in too. He only had one out (although theorically, I had been scared about trips too and the outs for a full house).

In this opportunity u lost it. Bad luck! (actually really bad) but I'm sure you will build up a new bankroll.
Just keep in mind u play the hand well, but the god of poker wasnt in your side.
