Ignition interlock devices or breath alcohol ignition interlock devices have been around for quite a few years now, but so far they have almost exclusively been used in vehicles and by police to make sure that drivers aren't under the influence of alcohol. However, in the next few weeks a breathalyzer test will be required by some product testers who want to play cash games on PokerStars.

Omg I just got fooled twice in the same minute. Oh well in my defense I am slightly pissed and this was fairly plausible, even a good idea, whilst the other was a little sick if I'm honest.

The news and 1st comment date were always April 1st, we had to publish it a few hours before the server switched to April 1st, but at that time it would already have been April 1st in many countries in the east
Didn't want to change the timestamp on the first real user comments though (sirthomas is an admin, so he didn't mind that I "rigged" his post a bit).

This would be too much if it was true! I can imagine some players puting their dogs to breathe to the machine so that they could play in the same. At the begining i was thinking about a control in casinos having PS events, but turning this a requirement for people at home wouldn't work. But there should exist a way to try to control people who's playing, not even if players would have to answer some simple questions while they were playing, just to see if they were real (bot preventing) and if they were in conditions to play with real money.
