Hey melonmaster ( and other brmers reading this)
Hope ur health is back to normal and the fever gone... I wanted to ask U something as we all had fun during the brm ester tourney, will there be a tourney like this on montlty or even weekly basis.
I dont really care bout the money ( wont win it if i keep playing like a turd anyway) but the fun is priceless....... so please will U look in to this.

If you read one of the last posts from the BRM easter freeroll from the Rigged Place you will see someone was already talking about a new event for May 5. Like you and most mobsters that expressed their opinion on that thread, I loved that event and I’m also looking forward for a new one, so I just hope that those who are already used to take care about this keep with the good work and bring us more fun!

may i bump in here i promised admin that i will only be bugging them (BRM) about the donation only twice a year- on Christmas and easter. so any other tourneys would be only a regular tourney with no further financial incentives. some time ago we had regular games (4 a week- 2 with $0.11 buy-in and 2 with $1.10) but they have dried up due to no one showing up. that's the reality anyways i'm open to offers, just shoot a more precise offer...

a once a week regular on the weekend would be brilliant for me. 1.10 dollar or 1.35 if its a ko, seems like a descent entrance fee , but more or less I dont really mind aswell, its just the experience of playing poker with like minded people what does it for me. So I would be present whatever there will be organised.

i think once a month would be a better choice. we have to see if it has enough runners at all before considering scheduling anything more frequently.
ok i see may the 5th is floating around...that would be on sunday...not sure it's the best date to have the tourney, since those who are of to work on monday in the morning may not wish to play tourney on late sunday evening...i think saturday would be better...but as always community should have their final say...so it would be a $1.10 buy-in texas holdem (nl) i guess, same structure as easter tourney?....any further wishes...

I think that one time in month its too often. The prizepool will not be still that interesting like it was last time, because there will not be so many donations every month I guess... I would be happy If I am wrong, but I am affraid that I am not

Well I put out the May 5th idea because it is the next Easter and also my birthday is on May 8th so I was kinda thinking it could be both a B'day and Easter 2 game

I think it will be difficult making a tourney with decent payouts in a monthly basis. Not that its something undoable though since the last success with the Easter game.

yeah you're right Weenie- but these tourneys are not gonna be on par with christmas & easter tourneys (our marquee tourneys with brm support)- the way i see them is just a chance for a few mobsters to play each other on a monthly basis. i said it several times, that it's easy to organize tourneys, so as long as some people want them i am not against. i think these tourneys shouldn't rely on donations whatsoever- just plain buy-ins...maybe if someone wants to spice things up, they can add a bounty on themselves...that's it.

ok it's your call- i am only responsible for easter & christmas tourneys, all other tourneys are upon demand- so you call the shots. if necessary i will help you out with stuff. just give the tourney details. (we'll name it "Ronin's B'day Tourney" )...buy-in, starting stack, blinds, game type...also final date & start time.

you're absolutely right...decent payouts is out of the question here...christmas & easter tourneys are enough for the donation fever... these tourneys would be just for playing against fellow mobsters...i'm fairly skeptical of the idea... i think very few people will show up, so eventually these tourneys will dry out...but who knows, maybe i'm wrong...
Hi all, my 2 cents worth and 10 mob points collected,
I am always keen for a good game, damn pissed off I missed the Easter tournament, hope whomever won my $1 used/uses it wisely (and PS enjoyed my 10 cents, lol). Spit balling on that topic, how about approaching PS for a satellite tourney, maybe for a Guaranteed Sunday Storm ticket x 2, as long as we get 11 players, even money for them, put a bit of news blurb on bankrollmob.com (see I am learning) to drive some more interest and exposure, $2.20 entry, around once a quarter.
Loved the KO idea $1.35 or $2.70, once a month or so, we have some who will play and can hopefully grow, KO's are normally turbo so will not take as long, early Friday nights before treating the significant other to your companies.
Next, look towards some other games, stud, horse, omaha, courchevel etc anywhere from 11c to say $3.30, I think we could get a few players, either as one off specials or and a bankrollmob.com series of The Rigged Place championships.
Last one, play money tournaments, to help people learn and have a chat at the same time and et ready for the above.
All of these could be published on bankrollmob.com as a news article to help drive some new members, with admins ok etc, I will help if I can, we need to keep recruiting new blood to enable some growth and to make this worthwhile for bankrollmob.com, pochui and our regulars.

very solid post 3P full of great ideas & suggestions- 1st thing that came to my mind...damn it's hell lot of work (especially for a lazy ass like me). but i wouldn't mind someone else doing it for me...so 3P, maybe you want to join "The Rigged Place" as an admin (you will be able to create tourneys & ring games), i will stay as manager. not saying that i'm completely out, i will help here & there...
Ok, make me admin, I will have a bit of a play and see what we can achieve and how much work it will be to maintain etc, I will report back here in 48 hours or so.

Hi guys here's a post I made a week or so ago after the Easter game.......reported it he for your thoughts...... Taking into account the commitment not to badger BRM other than Christmas and Easter.............
On the subject of the next one, Christmas is way too far away and the needs to be a recognisable world event for all to subscribe to and make it really worthwhile.
On a kind of cheeky note, giving you three months to plan etc, how about in recognition of our friends from the United States of America, you do an Independence Day game, where we will remember all of those who fought so hard and lost so much in the name of independence , and of course friends in the US who won't be able to play the Independence Day game simply because they are in the US. Almost making it a kind of political statement (but of course being clear that it is not a political statement) that this kind of independence, ( I.e. not being able to play online poker) is not acceptable.
Just a thought, and maybe you could get some American sponsors and donators along the way.

hahaha what a cheeky way to bribe our american fellows to open up their wallets and donate their dollars dunno maybe the schedule isn't dense enough, but at least it's one that BRM tends to support. and besides long wait makes the tourneys even more desirable. but 3P has some further ideas...i think you both can hook up and make something happen
