with the format being most people are playing smaller ranges with better cards, is it better to give up your blinds to steals with the issue of re-raising only going to cost you money in the long run with average cards?

if the same person does it 2 me i re-reaise to make a point it wont always happen, but the majority of the time people only play good hands so calling/re-raising with anything else - i i fold and use that money i would of called with to better use - the correct move?

Hello steffi500,

That is why I don't like to play Rush Poker with real money. Because every time you are waiting the best hand and you change the table. But every time changing the table you pay the blinds. So you have to change more than 30 tables and finally you will get the expected monster hand. But actually you lost enough by paying the blinds. And if you have KK, probably someone will have AA.

Rush Poker is a risk, I think. I prefer the ring tables. Because 20 minutes you change tables, waiting for the best hand and when you get it, everybody folds! So, what is the sence of that?

Just play ring tables. I think it is better. That is my opinion.

Regards,

Agree with you there Peter, I like to have a good read on my opponents so i dont bother with rush.

You tried ring tables Steffi? I found them ALOT easier.

Yep,....like the boys say... You need to be able to get a read on folks before making any moves like that...

Although,....I DO like the Rush Poker thing...it's pretty thrilling,...and you seem to get into the money a lot sooner because all the donks are taking bigger risks and getting knocked out at an ever excellerated pace...

The faster a game goes,...the more risks it seems folks think they have to take.... I just slow play the premium hands and seem to do rather well in those... let everybody else do the work knocking each other out!!... Smile

Hello!!

This is such a dumb question mate. Yes its a leak bc its not profitable. BUT......
the blinds (and antes if in that stage) are the most important part. During antes you should raise more button spots to steal antes+blinds but make sure to be ready for someone to play back at you light possibly.
I mean if the blinds are 15/30 or 20/40 (1st..2nd level) just quick fold imo unless its a speculative hand 78suited or something that can hit big and raise and possibly stack someone if u hit a big flop or draw.

What are you talking about? Blind levels? Antes? Fairly certain OP is talking about rush cash tables..maybe not.. but most people playing Rush are playing cash, although I do understand there are some Rush tourneys as well.

Regarding stealing blinds in Rush/Zoom cash tables, I think it can be fairly profitable, given how many people "at" the table have already clicked fold and aren't actually there any more, I've found you can often get away with min-raise stealing vs people that have either folded already, or bb who as ticked the check/fold option.
