wow- not a lot of funny stuff here (reminds me of freerolls) but that was a sick call: 125 BB with jacks...dunno maybe he thought you pressed the wrong button, or just doing some nonsense. changing your gameplay does work sometimes wouldn't be so funny if he had hit his trips though

Sick call with JJ , Pochui ? really ? did you never seen a lot of player shove with AK/ AQ even AJ ? sometimes with medium pair low stack make a lot of player crazy I think. Even at $ 109 buy in MTT sometime they did.

Calling 125bb preflop in a $109 MTT with JJ is suicide, I assure you; no good MTT players would do this: It is easily proven to be -EV
Since the range you are up against is weighted heavily towards QQ+, AQs+, AK
There may be a few spazzes occasionally getting it in with worse than that for 125bb, but very rarely in a $100 MTT. If you put JJ against that range I gave into Poker Stove, you will see you're absolutely crushed.
But - in a 2c/4c cash game if somebody open-shoved 200+bb, I would probably call them with JJ, just because the range that people make a weird play with includes all sorts of worse pairs and shitty aces.
But if you were playing in a serious cash game, calling 125bb with JJ is stupid.
Posted by uno1Bomber: That was not bad call. JJ vs KK the same as KK vs AA. If you have KK at preflop you'll never fold. Right?
By that logic, you could just call with 22 as well...
The point (that Jess already made) is, that facing such a large all in bet, you have to figure out what range he would do that with. The hand history does not show statistics for the Hero, so we don't have much information on that. But If you think he'll just shove pre flop like that with his very best hands (QQ+, AQs+), your JJ is crushed by that, whereas KK isn't.
That being said, at the micro stakes you see lot's of these all in moves with any pocket pair; maybe the villain has picked up on that pattern with the Hero?
I tought I would be laughing as hell in here but can't see the funny point of it Guess that it was a lot of fun for you! Great for you that some player still put so much faith on those Jack
