To do well in these freerolls, you're going to need to get pretty lucky (or not UNlucky) early on.

Chances are, any hand you want to play in the early stages, you're going to have to be all in pre-flop, so don't waste chips by calling with any hand you wouldn't call all in with. And if you do pick up a good hand (AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK) then you can't go far wrong by just shoving all in yourself and hoping your luck holds.

Once about half the field is out, the constant all in pushes should be over, and as only 117 people get paid, you're going to need to accumulate chips fast to put yourself in a strong position, so you should open up a bit and look for good spots to get your chips into the middle (sets, overpairs, two pairs, flushes and straights)

Most importantly, don't get discouraged if you get knocked out by a donk... just keep trying and you'll get there eventually Smile

Thanks so much yout85, such a good hint Blink I will do that. I am actually a tight player (y) Thanks for the advice Big Smile

No problem Smile

Tight play is the best way to play freerolls... as a rule - the best play is the opposite of how most players are playing. So in a freeroll, where everyone is incredibly loose, tight play is best... in a big buy-in tourney where everyone is incredibly tight, loose play is best.

...obviously you need to change and use your judgement every now and then.

BTW... Your chances of winning some $ are much higher in the freerolls than from the safe or calender -- unless you're as lucky as that dude (who's name I forget) who cracked the safe twice in one day a couple of days back! .....But good luck building a bankroll anyway!

I've won won before, and have got to a few final tables. In my first 3 months on here, I placed 6th (I think) in the leaderboard and won like, $40 (again, I think - memory ain't great)... Once you emerge from the crap-shoot at the beginning, it plays pretty much like a regular tournament.

I'm sitting in about 150th on this leaderboard with a mighty $0.15, so I might try and play a few to climb the rankings Smile

Hmm that's easy... wait to get your pocket of TT or JJ or QQ or KK or AA and go all in or you can try to win with AJ+ ...or play any 2 for flop Smile) if you hit top pair or two pair go all in ... hope you'll win all freerolls and became a PRO of freerolls Big Smile

Just check where the players come from (country) who are seated at ur table, If they are Russian be prepared to play against any kind of hand ( usuallly 9 6 or 9 7) take a good look arround sit tight and wait for ur chance, besides that u need a dose of luck and dont expect players to play more tight as u get further in the tournament as they just dont.... freerolls just attract a lot donkey's and cowboys who play any hand....loads of flush hunters on the freerolls aswell.

Personally I like the freerolls on Full tilt as i have been very succesfull there compared to the 7 cents I once won in the Brm freeroll.... further I had 3 bublble places and a lot of frustration...

I do wish U the best of Luck and hope U'll be a lot more succesfull then me in the BRM freerolls,
Good luck,
Mies Smile
