I know, but i support everton. He let his contract run down so they could get him for nothing. Hes fucked us over, we should have got about £10m compo. I knew he was going to man u or chelsea but he could have at least signed a new contract so we get something for him.

G'day mate
Well I would bet that his sports agent had alot to do with that maneuver. I am sure that he got more money for both himself and his client by doing it the way they did. In the end it always comes down to money. Sad but true. Sorry your team got the shitty end of the stick mate. Just hope that they hand the other team their A$$es all year long be cool

sadamman, I can understand your frustration at losing a great manager with no compensation - but I assume he has known this was coming for a long time, and signing a contract you KNOW you're not going to honour is not a very nice thing to do, and is probably actually illegal.
If I was an Everton fan, I'd be more disappointed that you seem to be after Neil Lennon instead of Roberto Martinez....
And just remember, things could be worse - you could be a Wolves fan like me

Ye i suppose that would be worse.
I know what you mean, im just disappointed in him because we should have easily been in 3rd place this season the way we have dominated almost every game. We just didn't have the luck when we needed it, and i think he would have knew that. So I'm disappointed he didnt stay because we would have smashed it next year with him in charge, and next year depending on who becomes the next manager, we could be back to relegation battles. I know it wouldn't have been nice, and possibly illegal, to sign a new contract if he knew he was leaving. But neither is doing that to the club that made him and he professes to love. When he has probably knew for years he was gonna take over from alex ferguson.
