Play for a share of $300,000 with a special World Record Tournament on June 16, including $25,000 for the winner and cash prizes for thousands of others. In addition to the huge prize pool, you also get to be part of poker history as we aim to set a new record for the biggest poker tournament of all time. The target is an incredible 225,000 players, and you can take part for just $1.
PokerStars last World Record Tournament was in December 2011, where 200,000 players helped set a new record. Russia’s ‘sokoluk1991’ won the tournament, which was certified by Guinness in a special ceremony at EPT Prague. Don’t miss out on being part of our new World Record attempt! How to Play the World Record Tournament
This special tourney has a buy-in of just $1 and takes place at 13:00 ET on June 16. It has a fixed prize pool of $300,000, including $25,000 for the winner. To buy-in directly or register for a satellite, open the PokerStars lobby and click ‘Tourney’ > ‘Special’, or search for ‘Record’ using the Tourney Filter. Please Note: The tournament will be capped at 225,000 players, so be sure to secure your place early. There will be no late registration for this tournament.

WOW....we will all struggle to fit into this tourney !!!!!!!!
Entries capped at 225000 players...most poker sites dont get that in a day let alone at one time. It will almost be the same a s a freeroll, but fellow Mobsters, it just may be worth a punt....and you will be part of history in the making.
This turny is a no brainer buyin 1 dollar 300000 guaranted with a max of 225000 nice promo pokerstars still the biggest site and will remain that way by there june promos

I'm not sure if im as happy as you about this one. Is t really such a good thing to be playing in such a huge field as that one will have? usually i try to avoid the big ones like 20.000 or so ( can already see the donkfest poker that everyone will be complaining about after) and this one seems like a nightmare come true for my sry ass little dollar lol.

It pays out to 1 in 3.5 entrants, and it's a 5 minute turbo,....so it should be relatively easy to get into the money....
...my strategy is to play tight, and let all the dummies knock each other out... Everybody is in a hurry to do SOMETHING in a turbo before they lose....and in doing so, most do just that....put themselves out...
that's sound like a very interesting event I'm gonna have to make sure to put some money on my pkerstar account by there and go for the win... or at least get into the money 1 player out of 4 gonna be in the money sound very interesting and very doable

not too excited about this- structure is too fast for decent poker, resembles freeroll more...field a bit bigger than places there are in my old hatchback. the only positive i see here is the amount of players paid- 1 in 3.5, that's a real lure- 1 double up and you are guaranteed a min profit, from then on it's a freeroll

$1 buy-in which is worth $1.33 .. not too bad... plus there will likely be a nice amount of bad players so this is really +EV ... but then again with a field of 225k players it will take ages to get to the big money .. But definately a good deal..

1. You are part of the Guinness book if you play, how can you miss that!? This is a big achievment, that's the first thing you can put on your CV!
2. As djpremier said : $1 buy in for the price of $1.33 (because 225.000 entrants compared to $300 K guaranteed). In normal NLHE tournaments the player field usually exceeds the guaranteed money.
3. You'll be in the money in no time, since this is a sort of donkfest turbo with blinds rising every 3 min. the players drop very quickly so the return of $2 minimum will be easy to achieve (if u play descent poker).
4. First prize of 25 K <-> 1$ (u have a chance of 1/225.000 minimum, better than the lotto).

Got my ticket for free . There was this freeroll tonight on which the first 500 would get a ticket. strangely enough only 2000+ registered Anyway, played 3 hands and that was it. Guess i'll see u guys there trying to break the record to my best result to date . Btw... i took my roll out of stars to let it soak a bit and rest in moneybookers lol. Only have 470 points to play with... lets see where that will take me

U working for PokerStars marketing these days Rafiko???
But without joking, should be the easiest ever tournament to reach the money..... like a huge 100k freeroll... But U gonne need a really good run to get on the final table..... I did register and expecting to reach at least 3 rd place ( saying I'll win it would be arrogant )
