Reaching out for some help, in need of testers.  0
Been a while since I've been on the forums, mostly in part because of various different projects, as well as taking a hiatus from poker. One project I've been working on, is a Meme site that I've put a fair amount of work on. I'm looking at fine-tuning it, specifically the functions and layout, and am hoping to get some feedback.

So with that said, I'm wondering if some people here might want to help out with basically trying to break my site. Check out the search page, play around, and basically point out anything that looks/or acts weird. I'm not asking for elaborate reports, just anything people might notice is acting funky.

Anyways, sites at: http://amazinglyamusing.com/

Admin, if you feel the need, go ahead and bury this topic. I just figured since this is one of the few places I frequent, it wouldn't hurt to post.

Looks nice...

The thumbs up button on the main page doesn't work. If you click the article, it can be done from there, but the counter only updates after refreshing the page.

I just realized that it's just for displaying the number of likes/dislikes, but I wanted to click it; maybe it's something about the presentation, that made me think I could click it?

Also the articles themselves are quite long; maybe too much for the average attention span of your target audience? Depending on how much I'm interested in the subject, I usually end up skimming webpages of this length...

Also you might want to limit the html people are allowed to use in their comments, because it could get messy, with not properly closed tags, javascript etc...

Hope this helps...

Kind of surprised that your article doesn't mention the meme inventor, evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkins.

Other than that, looks nice.

Only thing I can disagree with is the reason it was formed..it was for the US military to communicate, it was nothing to do with education or universities. So maybe just tween your history part. Cool

told my brother to try and break your site lol
he knows what hes doing.

------------
The site is currenty not easy to find via search engines the 2 options below will help.

1. Meta data is missing or empty, you can set this in the home page and should include key words that search engines would pick up to locate your site, it should include words which are relivent to your sites discription\purpose.

2. Change your H1 Headings, you have 3 set, these include "Amazingly Amusing: Welcome!", "Authorize" and "Register", to improve search engine results remove the 2nd 2 H1 Headings, you should only have 1

These are not ways of breaking the site, but of making it easier for search engines to locate

Hmm, great catch on the Header settings. Had to dig a bit to figure out that those were being put there by my login planel above the header. Multiple header tags, especially high level ones, are indeed bad. Hadn't gotten around to adding meta data to some of the pages yet, as the layouts not finalized.

Tell your brother major thanks for catching the header tags, that would have caused problems down the road, can't believe I didn't catch that.

And thanks to everyone else for their help so far, much appreciated Worship
