Tourney on PokerStars starting in around 1 and a half hours...
Open to UK & Ireland players - The winner gets entry to a £275 buy in tournament at a London hotel on June 28th. There is also a bounty of £100 for knocking out "Daleroxxu" (Scottish pro Dale Phillip). There will only be around 400 entrants, so worth a shot for anyone who can.

The one yesterday had around 360 entrants... that's a 39-1 shot of being on the table with the pro to start with... If you hang around a while, and they do too... there's a pretty good chance you'll come across them at some point. And a £100 bounty ain't to be sniffed at

Yesterday's "pro" was Micky Quinn... great footballer in his time, pretty good broadcaster, promising horse trainer.... but he is no poker player He was out in minutes.

Hope you did better than me today! Had the Pro at my table but got a little too attached to AA and lost to a flopped straight! so went out early. I was too worried about having the Pro covered so I could go all in if needed.

I'm pretty sure I was out before you.... 2nd hand A9 spades. UTG raises, I call... Flop Ad 9d 6h.... Raiser bets pot, I go all in, he calls with JQ diamonds... turn 6d and I'm out.

As well as broadcasting the password, TalkSport display the password on their website on the competitions section, it just takes a little time through the day to appear but in plenty of time for the game. Played earlier in the week and seems a fairly even standard of play with no really silly rivers etc. Must try again!

I see you was running good (4th) when I went out in 18th. Lost a bit a interest once the bounty went out first hand! but just using these as a bit of practice for large field tourneys.
Today's £100 bounty is on Victoria Coren, aka Victoria Coren Mitchell, host of TVs Only Connect, long time poker pro and wife of David Mitchell of Peep Show, That Mitchell & Webb Look and 10 o'clock Live fame (amongst many others)...
Played in a few of these now, without ever being on the pro's table - so fingers crossed this will be the one.

That seems to be a freeroll with a freat value if you manage to kick out the pro I guess once in their table you will see a whole different play, since everyones goal will be to kick them out. gl with that

....As I've said, I haven't been on the pros table yet - but you're right... knocking out the pro is the only real aim in these tournies. I would happily call them all in with 72 for a chance to take them out.
If I was BB with 72... and all 8 before me were all in first hand, my odds would be about 5% to win £100, so my EV would be +£5... As the tourney offers a prize worth £275 to the winner out of 400+ entrants the "buy-in" is less than £1, so it's a no brainer...
might have a stab at it!
