sit n go

hero is BB120, villain is SB60

dealt to hero: Jc 6s

villain calls, hero checks

Flop comes:

Jh Q s 6h

hero bets 240

Turn comes:

9c

hero bets all-in, villain calls

river comes:

2 s

villain shows: Qc 6c

what would you have done with flopped worst two pair?

probability of flopping better two pair is about 1,98%
probability of flopping set is 0,679%

i thought i was favourite.

ok i could have protected against flush draw cause of 2 h on flop,,, but i guess it was right played...

I usually bet pot size when I have 2 pair or check raise all in. What was the stack size?

Villain just got lucky and played it weird. Check call the flop, than check the turn. I would have put him on a draw. I think you played it right.

there is jack all you can do about things like this, by the size of the blinds im geussing you had 6 or less players left, and in situations like this people will often end up calling an all in with just top pair,

the only way you could have dodged this was by knowing what sort of opponent you were up against, say he only check calls with monsters, so you check the turn, if he pushes the river maybe you can fold, but you would have to play 50 hours + with that one player before you could start considering laying down two par to a bet, and in the majority of situations if you are going to call a bet it is better to make that bet yourself

I think that you played it right. probability of flopping better two pair is about 1,98% probability of flopping set is 0,679%...what do you do? it's simple check and go all in at the and...only a bad hand..don't warry boy...you play very well

Stack Sizes would be very interesting in this case.
Depending on Your stack You might should have bet
again after turn and not go all in at once.

But anyway it would be hard to fold with 2 pair, Since he
is leading the hand there is no way of forcing him out by betting.
Maybe just a bet on the turn and he goes all in , so You
get a chance to fold.

In the end he had a little more luck than You in this hand.
There`s nothing to do against that. Think You played it OK,
maybe all in was a little too aggressive, but again this depends on the stack sizes and the stage in which the SNG was.

Maybe a super aggressive move ( All In after Flop ) could have won this hand
by leading Your opponent to the conclusion You flopped a set. If You were small stacked maybe this would have been right.

Probabillity of Flopping a set is ~0,6 % ???
If he had a pocket pair then the probability of flopping a set is 10,8 %.

One option is to raise before the flop. SB only limped and most likely only has a weak hand and will fold.

After the flop you are doomed.

but it would have to be a big preflop raise to get him out after limping, at least 3 bb and probly more likely 4 or 5. I dont think that raising with j 6 off is a strong play even just against a small blind who has just completed, i often like to just complete my big pocket pairs when i am in the small blind, especially later in a sng or tourney, this is because often people will hit something like top pair with an 8 or ten and will happily get themselves all in because there stack is dwindling and you have shown no real strength. so i want them to catch some of the flop to get themselves caught up with my overpair.

kraemer yyy 11,8 % but only IF he have pocket pair that means u have to calculate 11,8%(of hitting set) from 5,88%(of getting pocket pair)

means a cumulative chance of 0,679%

or am i wrong??? guess not...
