Anyway the reason why I stopped playing poker is that I have become an Horse Racing Punter and must say UK Racing is truly the best Big Smile

Hey Bullet... I've always preferred Poker Tracker over Holdem Manager (or any others). While the HUDs are all pretty much the same, I find the information on PT more useful than the others.

My advice with the HUD, is KEEP IT SIMPLE. There's a lot of stuff that you just don't need to know. I think %VPIP, %call raise, %raise and %3bet are the only things you need...

If you can see all of this information you can narrow down people's ranges A LOT. For a guideline, anywhere over 20% VPIP (voluntarily put in pot) means the player is playing a wide range of cards - and in conjunction with the %call raise, you can work out the chances of them calling your raise with trash. Any player with high % for these two stats, you should raise more often after they've limped, knowing in the long run the value is there. If anyone is raising more than around 10% of hands - they are likely raising poor hands. The 3bet % is only really useful if it's <5% - then you know if you get reraised by this player, they almost certainly have AA, KK, QQ, AK...

It's important to realsie though, that at the late stage of a MTT, you should pay less attention to these stats, and more attention to your own instincts - and your own cards!

The thing I like most about PT, is that you can sort every hand you've played by amount won/lost (most useful for live tables). I often look at the hands I have lost the most on, and replay the hands - and see if I made any obvious errors. It's a great way of fixing holes in your game if you notice for example, that you spew $s on 10J suited because you call big bets with top pair in a raised hand, only to run into an overpair time after time.

Yeah I do think huds are pretty useful so I think I will give it another go now that my comp is running faster. I've been pretty naive about the benefits of studying the game or I just didnt know how to properly. Either way I'm definitely determined to get alot better now.
I'm sick of been a micro player and not going up through the levels!

Thanks all i really appreciate everyone's input Thumbs Up
