So was down to my last buy in on ladbrokes after not displaying good BRM and hold em being even more cruel to me than usual. Nothing will hold up for me in hold em at the moment, I flop a flush or two pair they call on one pair and runner runner a full house or trips or something. (whatever beats me lol).Anyways was down to my last buy in, done the 50+5c omaha 6 max turbo freezout. Was going bad at 1st, was down to like 900, with blinds 50/100, then got a triple up, next hand some donk calls me with a pair and rivers a miracle as usual. This happened for about 5 in a row of me going back to about 1000, then up to about 4000. Then the donks stopped getting luck and within about 5 more hands I had 4x everyone in the tourney, with me on about 45k and the 2nd highest about 11k. I then went on to absolutely dominate an clear up the tables. I didn't win much, £5.75 but its better than having a 0 bankroll, and i only need 20 points for £4. I won the same tourney in a similar fashion earlier in the week, which is making me think of quitting hold em for omaha. What do you guys think?

What works for you, its really the ones you should play. Now its omaha, but you may find yourself at the same spot with holdem at some point. You are not the only one playing with four cards and if you play long enough omaha you will see that the river hurts more often since more players are chasing. gl with it though.

Thats why i find it easier, im constantly conscious of this. On hold em I just never buy it, am convinced i have them dominated. Plus even when i do have them dominated its no limit, so they can go crazy and then i call and get sucked out on, because omaha is PL i can try to regulate this. Also in omaha you know a pot bet usually signifies a big hand. In hold em, all in could mean anything. Also, you can have a sort of redundancy plan in omaha which is almost non existent in hold em

I had this a while ago, where i had a good run in PLO and PLO8 tourneys so decided to watch some strategy video's and swat up a bit. I never came close to cashing after that lol. So I would say, see how you feel after you have played quite a few of them. Playing PLO definitely helped my hold'em game tho as I was never a believer either so I was always spewing chips.

I rarely play Omaha tournaments but do have a regular table or 2 of cash game going on most times i'm online. In omaha its always been ups and downs. sometimes things just go my way and i start to think i have a good understanding of the game and that i can maximize my profits doing this or avoiding that... then comes that week when everything goes nuts and no matter what i can only stop losing if not playing, everything at the same time, bad luck, bad play, donks, sharks, u name it.
all in all if ur results keep up from now on and for substancial periods of time probably changing for omaha exclusively isn't such a bad thing. specially if u like it more than holdem. gl!

If you doing well I'd say stick to it. I'm just not a fan of Omaha due to the opportunities being so broadened in this game. I mean straights and Flushes are nearly every hand and three of a kind is usually beat by one or the other. That's me though!
If your fairing well / winning or making the money I'd say keep it up! Good Luck Always!

I guess you should combine both games for now, i made the switch to omaha two years ago and it was great for me
If you like the game continue playing only PLO but i do not like how you put the problem: PLO or NLHE. You could play them both but play mostly the one on which you are more profitable
