Very nice summary of this event. I very much enjoyed reading it. Good play from your site with an unfortunate ending. Hope I will make a similar experience one day. Better luck next time

YOUT85.... I have to say that this piece has had me more gripped than anything i have read for a long time, whether here on BRM or elsewhere...like Bullett I was itching to get to the bottom, but managed to hang on in there cos it was so well written. Hope you have better luck at last hand day one next time...sounds like the lady (luck) was with you all the way as well as loads of skill.
Or if you want you can write another one. But this one is really amazing! You have a tallent of a writer! When I red it, I imagined all the photos, which were described through your words. I "saw" pictures of everything, reading all this!

I wish you a good rest this week, mate! Relax a little bit untill the next week, when you start the Micro Millions! Don't worry about the Buy Ins! You have a quite good carma! I will be online at the BRM 15th of July. Talk to you soon!
Nice experience for you. When I ran a forum one of my members won a seat into a WPT event ran by pokerstars in London. He went down having won the £5k buy in on a frreroll on Pstars.
After the third day he was chip leader with only 32 players left in. He was already guaranteed £16k. He then got onto a freature table with Annette Obrestadt, and Peter Eastgate and went on a major downswing. He managed to outlast Obrestadt, and got to the final 24 then he had a major brainfreeze and with over 120 BBs left got into a massive pre flop betting tangle with a bigger stack and the dopey berk ended up going all in pre flop with pocket 3s only to come up against Pocket Jacks and lose.
If the berk had folded the 33, he would have made the final 18. As it was he finished in 24th and won £37k.. Which is about $55k.
Whenever I see him I always remind him to fold pocket 3s.. However that said, £37k from a freeroll is a pretty good ROI all in all...
