I have a suggestion for donating. What if you made an option to donate between 0% and 100% of every mob points you earn by posting, to some help organisation. Maybe you could even add something so everyone could see top 10 donaters etc.
When you reach a certain amount of mobpoint donations, you could donate in the name of BRM.?!

That's a good idea.
But the main problem right now, is that we're all very busy developing some important stuff for bankrollmob - and other sites- that we haven't really gotten around to this whole "donating points" thing yet
And that really annoys me, because we would like to encourage our members to help out by donating a few points once in a while, which we can then forward to charity organisations as dollars.
BUT - we need to find some charity organisations that meets these requirements:
* Must be a serious organisation of course, not one of those that keeps 90% of the money for administration and only gives out 10% to those who need it.
* Must be possible to donate online, via creditcard or paypal/moneybookers/neteller, so it's as easy for us as possible.
* Would be nice if we somehow can get a "reciept" or "proof of donating", which we can then upload to bankrollmob in case some members doesn't believe we in fact DO donate the points.
So if anybody wanna help out, please feel free to submit some charity suggestions that meets the above requirements
everywhere u look u will find some dark sheeps who keep the money at their ownwallet...
i heard about a really nice organisation... u see the symbol of them when u go in hospital. i think u know of which org. i talk about...
most of them are really nice ppl doing charity work and help ill ppl, giving blood for accident victims a.s.o.
one day i know one of them took charity money to pay beers for himself and his mates but what shall we do? stop giving them blood and let the victims die?
it is totally normal that organisation take up to, we say, 30% of charity money for paying the costs like administration in net or paying the employees(not all of them working for free) or other things...
i heard about a charity organisation which gives micro credits at about 100$ to ppl in kongo/africa to create an own capitalism structure there for using their goods on their own and not beeing stolen by industrial nations like usa or europe...
the ppl getting this micro credits can buy a used sewing machine e.g. for a cheap interest rate of 5% p/a we say. so, first they learn that money doesnt lay down at the streets. and he can start to work, cause the slum is arounded from rich areas: south africa is tourism center of africa much hotels ... it is bounded to the poorer areas(kongo) so they can make deals and it works...

i know i know ... refer link refer link... but please let it be... look at this page u can donate rice grains through UN World Food Programm...
only thing you have to do is to get the other meaning of many english words... 20 rice grains donated by UN for any word which u got right
so how would be a contest? the first one who donates 5 000 000 000 000 000 rice grains will get 2 mob points *lol*
how would it be to embade a link here at BRM site? ask the programmer whether this would be able? than we all can help automatically when we log in into bankrollmob... or make it as a popup so we must donate 500 ricegrains before we can log in... it isnt heavy and im a german guy the english here will get it all...
i found this link by an affiliate partner of mine... nice that those ppl has too other things in the mind but spam their refer links everywhere...

Well, as I see it, the only problem with such sites like freerice.com is that it apparently depends on the knowledge of the visitors? I mean, if the site easily COULD give 100 grains of rice but because somebody only answers one word right they will only give 20 grains of rice? Imagine the mother "down there" telling their kids: "sorry kids, today we must starve because that idiot from Malta didn't know what 'epistemology' means" ... you see my point?
What we would prefer is something where we can simply donate the good ol' (and currently very weak!) US dollar, so it's not based on knowledge how much we can donate, but on how greedy our members are

I like the idea of giving to charity, id suggest nspcc, but instead of just donating how about some sort of bandit that gets emptyd each month or say a mob point play off say 10 seater table and we play for the charity of our choice. Just a few ideas.

and there is the longtermed solution:
one donate 60$ and they buy goats for the money. the ppl there make milk , butter and cheese out of it and sell it...
could be a nice way, but so far i ve read its non tax-deductable...

freerice isnt sitting on a pile of rice, one generate the money whil playing cause there appear banners at the bottom. this money generated by you is used to buy the rice

why not just give it to amnesty international? they make an superimportant job, are very reliable (always report what is done with the money. maybe not in specific, but well...) and well known.
they maybe dont have no ewallet, but cant you send from moneybookers to regular bank accounts easily?
go go human rights!
EDIT: or give it to greenpeace. point is that the big ones have so many eyes on them that they pretty much cannot cheat without ending in the newspaper... also the mobsters will have an instant idea what happens with their money. if it is an issue to send the donated moneys directly on their bankaccounts, i would contact em. i bet they will be more then happy opening an free ewallet when they can expect regular donations from the mob there.
