That's his first major win. Congrats to him on the good job. That's a lot of money for a regular guy. I think this is basically the dream of any poker amateur - to hit one big pot that'll make all those long nights in front of the screen worthwhile.

Agreed. I would love that sort of money playing poker then being smart I would take the $100,000 for myself and reinvest the rest in poker. £10,000 would do me.

Looking at his GPI score - http://www.globalpokerindex.com/poker-players/alan-gold... it seems that his biggest win this year was about 2.5K$, If he's a tournament pro it is a very rough year for him... Judging from his GPI status he must be an amatour
