Just reached the final table of my first MTT in a while and I need three to go before I reach the money. I hope my improvement in poker this last month will help win a little bit for big profit. Wish me luck!

Its was only a small one but it has taken two hours nearly. One person to go and I have 42k chips so doing okay. Hoping someone gets knocked out soon then I can play more loose.
50 people and buying was just under £5.
Two people have been knocked out since I started typing this. Minimum I am getting is just over 50 euros, so lots of profit from my small fee.

Damn that was short lived. I finished fourth and won £60 (so a nice £55 profit for two hours) but that damn chip leader was bossing me around as I was short stacked, more so than the other three. So went all in when I got JAs and he called with 1010 and as usual nothing comes up when pyour against the chip leader. That £200 could have come in handy but no matter I am happy with how I played in the torny(95%) and there is always next time.

Maybe both haha.
Deciding whether to withdraw £50 of it and pay my Ebay bill off or keep it as only £50 away from being able to go to my next cash table stake. Think I should keep it.

If you're scared to play at a higher buy-in then don't, it WILL affect your game. Just wait until your bankroll can comfortably support the higher buy-ins. If you want to take a shot at something bigger try to satellite in.

I am not scared as in of the players but just losing like £10/20, but then again losing that will not hurt my BR much but I will leave those until I have some serious BR to hide behind and until then I will just take pot shots at a low buy in MTT once in a while.

I agree I am always very nervous on a final table. Think I will wait until I have a bigger bankroll before taking on better MTT's, plus me getting better and learn more about poker would help too in the mean time.

Congratz on ur winnings
Good that U are thinking in a way to protect that Bankroll. Dont play higher buy ins as ur BR tells U to.
Best tip I ever gotten. It is so easy to blow ur BR, specially when U still feel confident from ur last winnings. I remember winning a $2,50 sng with 180 players, I played so well that tournament, great calls and even better folds. So after bagging the $ 123, who come with first place, I felt os so confident. I registrated a $35 sng with 180 players and put the rest on a cash table.... 9 hands later I was busted. I lost the 8th hand in the tournament, because I made a bad call after making my set on the turn. The 90 th hand on the cash table I went all in pre flop with KK and the other guy has AA. Boom gonne 123 dollar and newly gained poker confidence.

Read through your post since I've had very little time lately due to work and was a good read to hear about you coming up through the games and winning up to 80(U.S. keyboards don't have the symble used for U.K. money, just realized this). So how'd you ever finish? Did you cash out and pay your e-bay, lose it all playing poorly or win big and still playing better?

I have kept it in my bankroll so I can keep grinding. I am grinding 0.5/0.10 and was down £20 to two sick beats earlier and a trap with someone had AAA when I had 666. Just won it back now actually so feeling good again. See how it goes with my grinding now I am on a higher stake.
I got paid today so that will sort out my ebay bill. Guess good luck do come in twos.
I will be updating my blog in a minute at my home base so check that thread out to see my progress, bad times and my stats in the links posted.

"...so close you can taste it..."
Listen dude,......the last thing you want to be doing is putting poker chips or anything poker related in your mouth... I've said it before,...folks pick their noses,....scratch their asses,...wipe goo out of their eyes and look at it,...reach in their pants and adjust their knutzzzz,...etc....and MOST don't wash their hands...
THEN,...handle the cards and chips.....
You get the picture...
50 Pounds Sterling...??? NOT a bad haul....!!! Too bad it isn't REALLY 50 pounds of Sterling like it once was WAY back in the day before FAKE paper promissary notes....
