Premier League 13/14  0
Okay, just wanted to make a poll to see what people think.
Who do you think is going to win the league this season?
What do you you think about the first games?

So yeah, let`s get the discussion going, it`s fun fun fun.
Haven`t been this excited about a season starting for a couple of years now. So much has changed in the summer and so much can still change.

i think chelsea will win, it's gonna be a real close call, with both manchester clubs in sight...city gonna just pip united for 2nd, 4th is really possible this season for tottenham- they invested wisely, and if they will be able to offload bale for mega bucks they will add a few more great players (like willian & lamela)...1st games, hmm not a lot to say reallt, those games are very unpredictable..you really have to wait at least for 1 month passes before making any deeper predictions, but i'm just happy that the new season started.

I hope that Man Utd wins, but it`s gonna be a close one. The first three is gonna be Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea, I just don`t know in what order, lol.
And I agree with you pochui about Tottenham, I also think that they have a really good chance to finish 4th.

Ps. I`m gonna say this again, Stoke is getting relegated, lol.

For much i hate Chelsea, and i think the club is discusting, i really want to mourinho win after the Madrid disaster to shut up the spanisbh big mouths!

yeah paulparadiis, i also have stoke on the shortlist of clubs who have very good odds to be relegated. crystal palace and hull are the other who are most likely to join them. but i like the last 2 hull signings (huddlestone & livermore on loan)...newcastle are in danger of relegation purely because of such idiots as kinnear & ashley...

I think the top is going to be very crowded this year and since Jose is my favorite manager ever Smile I will have to go with Chelsea. On that notice I don't think that being no. 1 in Premier is Mourinho's top priority. Now when Chelsea has won Champions League and Europa League I think Roman is going to give Jose a lot of freedom (I actually saw Roman smiling the other day against Hull - OMG what a shock Smile) and Jose wants one thing that Real failed to deliver to him... The third Champions League title and becoming the first manager that did this with 3 different clubs.

And after that probably doing it again with another club making him the first manager to win it 4 times and the first to win it with 4 different clubs (latter would probably make him immortal because I don't see anyone doing this ever again). And he will do this, because he is the Special One Big Smile http://youtu.be/7jNWVaFd_wM?t=19s

What I am trying to say... maybe Chelsea will be a bit less concentrated on Premiership and more on CL.

@SergiV - I don`t think that any team who has a chance of winning the league, would put their focus for the season on a Cup. They will put a lot of effort in winning the CL, but i definitely don`t think they will be "less concentrated" in the league.
I hope that they don`t win anything though, lol. Them and Man City are two clubs I can`t stand at all. I do like players like Hazard and Mata and Ba, i wish they`d leave Chelsea, lol.

yeah kinda agree vith paul here, really don't see how teams could bypass premier league and concentrate only on champions league...1st of all it would be very foolish, just because all cups involve more luck than league, you can win/lose cup in 1 game if it's the final or on 2 games 1/4, semis, etc., while you win the leagues based on your performance over 38 games...this is where luck evens out and the best team wins...this is why solid teams 1st of all concentrate on the league, and give their best in cl, and not vice versa

Teams are deep enough to play high level both at the league and the CL. Some may try to let players rest during the early stages but most of the time can get away with it.

The local cup games (not to mention the league cup) are usually played by the CL teams with their second team. I think it os good for the league - leaves something to the less wealthy teams.

CHELSEA all the way this seasons purely because of the Mourinho effect.

MAN UNITED won't get into Europe, purely because of the lack of the Fergy effect (and Rooney going to Chelsea or somewhere else, like the cupboard under the stairs).

All respect to the mobster who chose Swansea to win the league. I'm kind of wondering whether they meant to select West Brom and clicked the wrong box!

I don't have too much ingest in who gets relegated as long as its not Man U.

Is there a top league in Estonia or Lithuania and why aren't we polling about them?

No they don't, maybe for the F.A. cup 3rd round if they get Wrexham or someone, but in general, they don't at all.

I agree with the Chelsea bit, but United will deffo be in Europe next season. I would bet my house on it if the odds were good.

@damosk - Yes there is a League in Estonia, but it`s not really that interesting, lol. It`s like with our national team, I always support them, but I need someone to support in the big competions as well, then I support England. And my Dad was a huge fan of Man Utd, so I`ve followed the EPL basically since I was 5, so for me, it`s the League to follow, and it`s definitely the most interesting league.

Spurs signing some great players. A few more and they could challenge for the title IMHO.

We still have not signed anyone and there is 11 days left of this transfer window. Not happy.

I hope Man Utd gets someone in the midfield. I don`t like though that they are after Baines. Baines is a great player, but we don`t need him. Evra is still good and Buttner is gonna be good as well. I like Fellaini though, but again, I`m not too sure how he would fit in the Utd game.
Fabregas would be good, but that`s not gonna happen. I think we should sell Nani and I hope that Anderson gets to start a couple of games, I think he just needs to play more, he has had some great moments.

Speaking of United, there are rumours going around Mourinho is prepared to swap Mata + money for Rooney but that is highly unlikely and stupid.

I really like Rooney, but this deal would be awesome, although, this is not going to happen.

I would rather have Mata than Rooney and besides Hernandez is a better striker than Rooney so he would be no real miss but your midfield would finally be quality with Mata.

@Phisix - well newcastle seems to to have at least one transfer in the coming days, problem is that it's another in the wrong direction Tongue kebab seems to be on the move with psg looks like the likeliest destination, arsenal are interested, but they don't have enough cash to compete with psg

Yes, that would be an awesome deal, considering that Mata is younger as well and we have enough good strikers. The only thing is that I like Rooney, and I don`t want to see him playing for a club like Chelsea.
But yes, I agree, that would be an awesome deal for us, unfortunately it won`t happen.
