Official statement taken from pokerstarsblog on 4th september 2013 9:49
After agreeing with the U.S. Justice Department the acquisition of certain assets of the group Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars kicked off, exclusively from its own funds, to pay the balance held by the players at Full Tilt Poker located outside of the United States on their gaming accounts. The agreement reached with the U.S. Justice Department was subject to the condition that the payment was in accordance with applicable laws and was performed by PokerStars in all countries located outside of the United States where there was no legal impediment execution of payments.
In Italy, PokerStars has made contact with all the relevant authorities and also relied on legal advice from two different law firms in order to find the best solution for making payments to the Italian players. However, despite PokerStars was completely foreign to the management of the platform www.fulltiltpoker.com, since the same was working in Italy without a regular remote gambling license issued by AAMS, both the conduct of Full Tilt Poker that one of the players themselves were carried out in violation of the criminal laws Italian. Therefore, any payment in favor of the Italian players would be considered a violation of criminal laws by PokerStars. In light of the foregoing, PokerStars is unable to make payments to the Italian players of Full Tilt.
F**k fulltilt, f**k pokerstars.it, f**k italian government, f**k the dirty whore.

Sorry to hear that, hope you didn't lose too much money. As a Belgian player I was worried about my bankroll at Full Tilt and never expected to be payed out. But it seems that not everybody is as lucky as i am

That's a real shame there mate. so they ( fulltilt) committed a crime and therefore were shutdown making everyone lose their money... and now that they are back it would be a crime to give the money ( that is not theirs) back?!? fucked up s**t lol. that's what we get when politicians instead of just playing poker start to try to "taxate " it

Thats really bad to hear. But from what i am reading from your post, its not Full Tilt's fault. Like most of the times politicians are to blame. Just keep your fingers crossed and wish for a solution to this.

Now that sucks big time and i hope that you did not had too many money in your account mate...
I don't even want to know what you would feel if you had more than 1k dollars that you'll never get back, i mean you should be pissed even for a dollar but i'm sure some players had small fortunes in their accounts.

I was fortunate enough to withdraw my money a short time before this happened. (50 $, or so...) That I would have gotten back anyway, from what I now understand.
Care to tell us how much your stuck with, magatt?
However, I did not go totally without losses in this debacle. I had used my FTP-points to order some sort of stress-thingie, to de-stress your self with, during all-ins and major bluffs. Some sort of soft dude, with a crazy face.

I had around $450 plus ftpoints and promotions going on...not that much fortunately but it hurts expecially because we are the only country where FT players are not payed back if I'm not wrong.
In my opinion pokerstars.it is the most responsible for what happened together with Italian gambling autorities and governent.
It seems we are talking about an overall amount of 2 millions euro and no one cared that much to keep them back to italy and tax them. I guess if we were talking about 200 miliions euros things would have been different.
Pokerstars.it announced yesterday they would launch a promo called tiltmania with races guaranteed tournaments and so on to put some "fulltilt" money available to italian poker community

1st of all- really feel for you, hope you have a real heater on other accounts and recoup "the losses" in no time. now getting back to the topic- i think that the ones who are really at fault here is the old full tilt, with ledered and co behind the curtains...they were real thieves. jokerstars just bought the old failed business/brand and they negotiated themselves the terms upon which the purchase was possible, pity that italians were left out...guess ceo of stars didn't like his armani suit...

The truth is I don't expect to get my measely $168.00 back from them either and I know that's nothing compared to what some of the high stakes players are losing so I feel no pain. I do wish the best to all who really is losing some money. They need it!

That is kinda hard not to leave your money in the site. Cause if you are a player having more than 1k in a site means you are playing at high limits. And unless the transactions is like the ones in Full Tilt which take a few minutes, then its hard cashing out every time, since the funds may not be available to you for your next session.

No I understand that, but I think it is dumb to leave large sums in a poker account after everything that has happened.
Sure big cash game players need a solid BR but for the average person there's no need to use it like a bank - only bad things can happen PLUS some take money off your account every month if dormant e.g. 888 take 10%
