G'day pochui

1st - Thank you very much for your kind words of support and the hart felt positive advice.

I am currently thinking things over very very carefully.
I currently have over 5K in mob points so I could do an immediate cashout and use the funds to boost up my bankroll.
This option would take off some pressure but I am unsure if I really want to do that.
Been offered a $200 staking offer from a friend and i am going to carefully consider it.
My first impulse is to simple say no whenever someone offers me any staking deal.
I do not like to feel like I need charity from my friends.
It truly amazes me how many people have been offering to stake me lately.
Even some of our fellow mobsters have been showing me extreme kindness with staking offers.
I have not taken anyone up on them however.
I got a lot of thinking to do over the next few days.
decisions to make.
Wishing you all the best

G'day mates

Well it is time for an update.
The pain in my back has been unyielding.
The pain medication has not helped at all tonight.
I played a sessionof poker and made a profit.
I started the session with $7.48

My new current bankroll is now $9.58 USD

I stopped playing the minute I thought about playing the 0.05/0.10 NL table.
I forced myself to stop playing in order to not break the bankroll management rules.
be cool mates

Well nice to see your on the right way again Ronin.

Well I just want to say if you need a stakem, just ask , I am not gonne say it many more times. As a regular BRM-membder here, I ll be glad to help.

Maybe just a crazy idea ... maybe we could built you a bankroll from several mobsters (like 20$ or 50 $ / a share) , set up some rules and let you play your a game.

This would also make the blog even more interesting for the shareholders of Ronin's pokerchallenge

G'day mates

Well I just played a GREAT session of poker.
was playing on 3 cash tables 0.01/0.02 NL holdem tables and decided to mix things up a bit by playing in two $0.50 180 SnG's.
Well after a time I decided to really try and play my "A game in the two tournaments so I shut down all my cash tables even though at the time I was down slightly overall.
Busted out of one Mtt so just put all my skills to work on the one table I was playing on.
Long story short. I got unlucky when heads up.

Started the session with a bankroll of $9.58
My new current bankroll is now $24.48

This was all done within proper bankroll management too Smile

You are in a good way. It seems you are gaining back the losses.
If you continue with the same pace, pretty soon you will make a good size bankroll.
After some point do a small cash out, to put money away just in case Smile

G'day mate

Well right now I have more than 5K in mob points.
So that meas I can do a cashout to my Skrill account at any time.
I can use that money to reload my poker bankroll if I need too.
However, I should never need to do that, if I stay within proper bankroll management.
I should not ever need to do another buy in unless I want to in order to take advantage of a reload bonus or something to that effect.
I would need to go on a massive downswing to lose everything.
The poker God's willing that will not happen
best wishes to you all

Update time

Well I woke up from a nap at 6:45pm and after using the washroom and having some stew for supper I decided to play a session of poker.
Started at 7pm and stopped at 8pm.
Played about 200 hands.

Starting bankroll was $24.48
Current bankroll is now $28.81

Still slowly moving upward.
It seems like a slow uphill slog right now but I have been staying to the rules.

Hi Ronin, hi all, sweet, some positive news and positive ROI, keep the bank roll management discipline and we can hopefully expect some more good news in the next day or two. Under the bank roll management tool I wrote (It use macros that only work on excel 2003 or previous, a windows 7 and a OpenOffice version was going to be developed, but there does not seem to be any buy-in from BRM, I was looking at distributing all as freeware through BRM but...) a $1 game, of your choosing is now within acceptable parameters, just short of nominal, but sometimes you should roll them dice.

I also suggest investing $0.55 in the home game now to reserve your place and create a small safety net.

Finally had lunch with my brother and his wife yesterday, a nice Japanese restaurant in Auckland, it was great timing, because at the time I was thinking.... "Miso hungry"

Best wishes as always to R and all.

3P out.

PS no super model as of yet has arrived, may have to take matters in my own hands. Shock

Ronin

over 4 $ profit in about 300 hands is a great result when you play 0.01/0.02$

Just be patient and keep climbing that ladder up slowly and stick to the BR-rules.

You proove that you are a winning player as you stick to the rules of proper BR-management.

Keep this in mind

G'day mates

Thank you all for the kind words of support.
In regards to the idea that I need to prove that I am a winning player.
I do not feel personally I have anything to prove to anyone but myself.
I am playing poker because I LOVE poker.
I want to be able to play poker so I need the money to do so.
If I do NOT keep playing within the rules of proper bankroll management I WILL go broke.
Broke is bad because it means I will be sitting along the rail watching the action and not playing in it. Smile
I want to get my bankroll up to the higher limits again, but I am committed to doing it right.
Do not get me wrong I can easily go up to a much larger bankroll, because I have 7 people who have offered to stake me, but I have not taken anyones staking offer.
To be honest I think that of the 7 people I could really count on 4 of them to really come through if I did decide to accept. That is a different story though.
wishing you all the very best

Had to stop as my back hurts to much to properly focus, time to take some pain meds.
New rule #1 comes into effect.
Was up above $40 at one point but just took a full hit on a table.
I never even seen it coming, thought I had the nuts, oops I was wrong Aww crap!

Started the session with $35.95
New bankroll is now $37.67

Well it least it was another winning session on the 0.01/0.02 NL cash tables
best wishes to you all

Update time

My bankroll has taken a hit because I took a shot at playing 5 SnG's.
They was fifty/50's and I missed the money in all f'ing five of them.
Aces & kings both got cracked
had a Queen high flush killed when a forth diamond hit the river and the other guy had the king.
it was 3 six place finishes and a 8th an 9th i think.
going to be playing a grinding session in a few minutes to undo the damage the long way on the cash tables at the 0.01/0.02 NL level.
best wishes to you all

Well to bad you lost the SNG, but remaber if you play the DoN you have to adjust your playing style.
Very passive is the best way and let the bigstacks do the work.
I played lots of them and this was my system to play them.

in the beginning ... only play with monsters and keep the pot as low as possible (don t reraise)
postflop --> go for it as you hit something (double pair, set, ..) , check/call with good drawing hands (flush, open-str)

when there are 7 players left --> see what your stacksize says, as long as your in teh top 5 , keep playing passive, only start to play more hands aggressive as your out of the top 5.

If you win 1 big hand you can mostly get into the money without playing (just see how the others are playing and if there s another one playing defensive, try to steal his blinds a few times)

So keep in mind : the aim is to finish in the top 5, not to knock everybody out (ther s no bounty)

g'day mates

What the hell is going on today.
I can not seem to win anything.
Getting decent cards but they just keep losing.
In a downswing, nothing is working for me today.
Going to play a 180 SnG to see if that makes a difference if I lose that to then I am just stopping for the day and eating the major lose until tomorrow.
best wishes to you all

Update

Well I am on total tilt.
To hell with pokerstars until tomorrow at least.

Current bankroll is now $28.10

It was unbelievable the BS that was happening.
Not even going to go into it farther.
It was like someone flicked a switch and I just kept losing non stop.
Did not matter how favored I was to win by the river I lost.
Best wishes to you all
tomorrow is a new day.
be cool

Just have a break for a while until your mind is off it mate. At least you still have a nice bankroll to continue once your mind is clear and you are ready once again. Just ride the bad times and keep your BR and variance will be back in your favour sooner or later.
