The answer is NO! I will NOT be playing any poker on the zoom tables while I have any money in the account from my fellow staker's. I am a losing zoom poker player. I always lose whenever I play them tables. I know this to be truth, so I can not in good conscience throw money away like that during the dark horse challenge. It would not be fair to the others at all. be cool

So probably we are not gonna play together I agree with you that sometimes is harder to play at Russh/Zoom poker tables, since one bad beat can make you crazy and tilted, and then you start losing money easily and pretty fast.

Thank you for your support I will be having a fresh go at the tables a little later. Will do an update at that time. Do not know what the problem was but I did figure out it tilted me. Glad I had the brains and discipline to stop playing when I did. I might have gone broke other wise. best wishes to you all be cool

Well I still have not actually started to grind and play poker again yet. I was going to start earlier in the week but I have not done so yet. I am planning on starting my new Dark Horse Challenge Run on Monday. It has proven to be a very good break for me in terms of getting my head back together. I feel I am ready to return to poker again. be cool

Looking forward to hear from your bankroll management challenge Ronin.
I tried to do something similar at NL2 but I couldn't . After a very tough sesion , with many bad beats I took a shot into NL10 and then in NL25.
It is pretty hard to keep the bankroll managemnet when you face awful downsings. Hope you can do it better than me.
I wonder how can somebody can be losing on zoom poker (over a longer term), because the games are mostly so terribly easy. You play only the top hands and preferably in position. You just value bet 3 streets good hands, take pots for c-bets People at microstakes most times let you know very soon when they have a good hand and you can happily fold your two pair on dangerous boards.

Well I do not know what to tell you. You are apparently one of the very lucky ones. I have read on several forums that a very large majority of zoom/rush/speed table players are losing players. I have proven year after year to be a positive player overall. I have not had a single year in the last 10 in which I did not make a profit. I am a losing Zoom player, it is just NOT my game. I know and understand this to be true. Therefore in order to make money I will stay with my strengths which are Mtt and cash tables regular length games. I apologize if this somehow bothers you. wishing you all the best be cool

Well I have read all 19 pages of this. I thought it would be interesting to see how Ronin progressed. Since I read it, he has not played a single hand!

I played Zoom for the first time on two tables as it was needed for yesterdays January PS challenge and I actually left both tables in profit. I did suffer two suckouts and a QQ vs someones AA and KK vs someones AA but I managed to win it back plus profit. Did not seem too bad Ronin but I know how high variance it is so I won't really play it again.

Well it is now Monday and I just made a personal deposit into my account of $100. I am going to start grinding it later. I am NOT currently doing the dark horse run challenge because we just have not been able to get the money transferred. It is amazing how in today's modern age it has proven so damned difficult. We have truly tried everything I can think of but with no success. Well until later. be cool

Brilliant news my friend. You up for multi tabling a few 0.1/.02 tables together later, or you jumping up a few stakes? Would be good to see how each other plays.
Looking forward to follow you and to see how your first session was. I'm sure if you keep calm and review your session you are going to be able to win money and enjoy poker even more.
I hope you can also start soon with the dark horse challenge! I wish you the best!!

Well I just played my first session of poker since the break. The session started off with my losing two full buy in's right off the snap. I did not panic just laughed it off as bad luck since I was favoured to win both times and got my money in good. I was playing on 4 tables at once and had decided I was only going to play my 1st session back at the tables for 1 hour before taking a break for at least 1/2 hour. The starting bankroll was $100 The new current bankroll is now $104.87
All in all I am calling my 1st session back at the tables a win. Now taking a break for a while will play again later tonight. be cool

You left with profit so of course that is a win. Glad your back playing. I tend to always lose a BI or two when I first start then I go on to finish on profit so it only shows good playing to come back I guess.
