At least you have a decent bankroll though and it has stayed around there since you started even with your ups and downs. Just play when you feel ready and you have no pressure on your or home problems and everything will go well.

Well poor Marian has finally ended her suffering and passed on into a better place I hope. I played some poke last night to try and take my mind of things and lost $70 of my bankroll. I was so upset I did not even realise I was losing till I got tired and stopped. checked my new cashier amount to see how many vpp/fpp's I had and discovered I had actually been losing money. going to take another full day off I think to get my head together then start to undo all the damage again. be cool

I have terrible BR habits, SO cheers for reminding us of the importance of this point! That said... With a bankroll of $30, on tilt from some bad beats in the usual $1 tourneys,(and a drink or 2) I entered a $25 tourney at FT (before it crashed, Phew) and won $12,000 for !st! Although BR is tremendously important at high stake levels, I don't see it as imperative for small stakers, who are playing for fun and to improve their game. Jumping to a higher level, to see the change in play, or just to blow off some steam is cool, always remembering you only gamble what your willing to lose. On the other side, if you are playing at stakes that are high relative to your income, playing within your bankroll is imperative for having the right psychological approach, being able to use your chips for utility and not be subject to bullying.
Thanks for the post, and good luck with all your goals, having them is really the point anyway!

Well I was doing really well up until the real world around me went to total crap. People all being selfish wanting a poor old women with Alzheimer's and advanced dementia to just continue to linger on and on suffering. Marian also suffered a massive heart attack last week and they think a stroke as well. Well the poor old women finally passed on and it had made me very sad but I am glad her suffering is over. My poker bankroll has also suffered lately since I foolishly tried to play while I was mentally distracted by the real world events which have been going on. Now I got to rebuild again, but I know I can do it. I have set a goal of grinding 4 - 6 hours every day for the next 3 weeks and to build my bankroll up to $1000. Time to stop screwing around and get to work. be cool

Going to be playing a grinder session after I finish playing in the MicroMillion-012 event. Things are not going well so far but I am still holding in there and have even built up a few extra chips. I am currently short stacked but not desperate so waiting for cards. will update later be cool

If you are referring to MM-005 I went out in 304th place for a win of $17.95 US I had pocket Aces and they lost on the river to a guy with pocket 8's I finished the hand with 2 pair Aces & Jacks but he ended up with a boat 8's over Jacks. but at least i made nearly 6 times my buy in amount back but it was a long ways from the $5600+ I was hoping to win for 1st place be cool

Well I started the day with a bankroll of $95.47 played a grind session and now,
My current bankroll is $259.52
Feeling kind of tired so taking a break before going at it again. I plan on playing another 6-8 hours today so going to aim for the stars today. What you think $1000 for the day sounds like a great number to aim for be cool

1K$ in a day is difficult to reach unless your playing at NL100 or 15$ SNGs Or even getting the final table of a big tourney

the most important thing concerning bankroll management is to have some sort of bankroll at all, this raises the question of bankroll management practices ranging from wild to pinkish gray and the outcome can only be a horrendous sandstorm coming to visit us on 6pm

Hey Ronin,
My advice is try to reach a bankroll of $600 and when you reach that amount, please immediately cashout $500 and leave $100 to your bankroll. With $100 bankroll you will reach your new targets, mate. In January I deposited $20 at FTP and won $250 at th cash tables. Then I realised how I beagan to loose slowly. So, I cashedout $200 and left $50 for my bankroll.
Cross fingers for you, buddy! Good luck with your challenge!
