Probably had my worst ever day playing poker yesterday from a suckout and set up point of view as well as being flop dead. I went busto but for once it was not due to tilt or jumping up a stake but just plain unluckiness. Had a few coin flips whereas I was in position and had premium pocket pairs and someone either donked all in before me or went all in after a 3 bet I had done to them. All three times I was ahead pre flop but as usual with pockets I lost.
QQ vs 88 KK vs A6o KK vs AK
Also flopped a straight when I was in the BB when I checked as I had rubbish cards and of course a fish had hit a higher one(Crowning glory of such a day). So that was all my roll gone, plus standard more due to c bets/ raises ect and not flopping anything.
Not dwelling on it and thinking back I could have just left when I had 3 BI's left and waited until today to play fresh. These things can happen when I only deposit Just one of those variance days so I am not angry and I have loads in the bank so I will just reload for £10 later and start again.

If you are a winning player and u know that for sure I think it would be better to reload a little bit more so that the u can grow your roll even u hit the bad beats, but hey thats just my opinion how did the 3 hands go all in preflop or in the flop? I didn't understand how the hand was played
U play cash games? Have you tried some SNG? I think for me its so much easier to play them then cash but maybe cash is more fun?

The vs 88 and AK hands I was in position over them and 3 bet and they donked all in and the hand vs A6 they guy donked just before it was my turn and he was short stacked compared to me, so was obvious call.
Yeah I mainly play cash games with the odd MTT once in a while. I only deposited a small amount as need most of my money for bills and stuff. The last two small bankrolls has ending in disaster but the one before that I was doing really well and I was well rolled for the lowest stake before blowing in on two stakes up. SNG's could be worth a try.

Yeah that was bad luck... But cash games and preflop all in? what games are you playing, cap? Bills and stuff to buy thats tough to control with poker, just eat and drink less
I think SNG are the easiest one to manage your bankroll and its entertaining, im multitabling only SNG so its not even boring in the first levels when some of them are in the push or fold levels take a shot on them

Well I was saving up for a new 3DS XL and this new RPG I wanted but received a brand new £200 phone from a mate for my Xmas present today so now had to top up a new number, need to buy a big SD card and case as well as bills so only have £10 left for now, but that should be enough.
I'll try a SNG tomorrow when I have some free time and not tired see how it goes. Going to play a small session before bed on cash see how I do. Getting on well with some decent low limit regs now so that helps with playing as it's some good banter.

Hopefully you get lucky on the start because SNG is all about the VOLUME! or maybe save some more money and then start to play when u got a decent bankroll?

Thanks Mober.
And no or I would be having a break from Poker and playing that non stop Going for a small session now hopefully I come back with a little profit.
------------ Another break even night. Been watching the biggest calling station fish just win big on this table while I wait patiently for decent hands. How the hell do these guys always manager to win so much playing like idiots. Jealously perhaps.

I know what you mean, I really do. It is like the sites just let them dumbass idiots win over and over to keep them paying high rake. It makes me sick at times. We need to play within our bankrolls to succeed. best of luck mates be cool

This game is really pissing me off lately. First off I my AK runs into JJ and he flops a set on the flop as well as a nice Ace to entice me. I never hit sets with my JJ's but always over cards. I then get an idiot call me down with 68 when I had TPMK when he had nothing and hit two 8's on the turn and river and then another guy keeps calling me down on another pot when he had higher over cards and as usual one pops out.
I then have half a buy left and have a flush draw so I chase for once like every fish always does to me and hits but guess what I don't hit one, I never do. Once I would like a break but no only against me do people hit stuff. Oh, and then when I start losing I start getting card dead as usual. Bah.
Variance is being a right prick lately but I go on waiting for it to change for the better. How are you doing Rons?
Rant over/
------------ Been having a good and steady day and last nights session too. Slowly going up and when I have a bit of profit the suckouts come out to play. Just had my AA 3 bet called by someone with k6o with him spiking a six on the river. What can I actually do to win with AA and KK when I am miles ahead these days as they always get cracked by s**t cards.
------------ I am still in the game so as long as I have a bankroll everything is good but for once it would be nice not to lose with AA or KK as I always seem to lose with them then win, even when I am ahead or should be ahead.
------------ Just got into the worst set up ever. I was BB and me and two other people all had flush draws and all hit it. Proper set up and me being the BB meant I had the worst one even though the other two limped in. Never been in a three way flush war before.
Think I might have a break for a while as this downswing and fish/calling stations are doing my nut in. I do really well then stuff starts happening and it all goes wrong.

Well I must say I was sad to read that you have been having a bad day. Try not to let it get you down. Stay calm and do not go on tilt. Do want I did and take a small break to regroup. You can do it mate. play good ABC poker and do not try to bluff anyone. slow and steady will win the race for us both. best wishes be cool

I have actually had a great night session. The suckouts were rare, the fish have been tame and only one set up. I managed to start the session buy going a BI and half up and everything was going steady until the dealer decided to tempt me with a set of kings by the turn and someone has called oop with 22 and hit a set on the flop and then a fullhouse on the turn so I lost 2 and a half BI's. I did manage to start running good even after a few flushes against me and now I am just about even.
I have never ran break even/losing this long forever so its all a bit weird and frustrating to me. How are you doing with you roll anyway?

I try and be slow and stead but sometimes variance, bad luck and stupidity can happen. Just got in so not played any poker today but going for a session now before bed. Finish on like 20p profit last night so hoping I can finish tonight on a few £ up.

Good luck man!
I think the hardest thing in this game is to keep the tilt out when variance strikes you. Probably more than a half of our lost are due to wrong decisions after losing a couple of hands that we did not expect to lose. Keep focus man and enjoy the game!

Cheers man.
I need to get PT or HM so I can start keeping tabs on my graphs, leaks and all loses and winnings. I had it on my other blog before this one and it helped a lot, but that blog shall be burnt out of my mind as all the graphs in there show what a great run I was on and how well I was doing back then.

Did you already use the trial time with both PokerTracker and Holdem Manager?????
I'm currently using the trail of Holdem Manager 2. It gives you 30 days for free so you can keep an eye on your progress meanwhile.
If you have already spent the trial days you might want to have a look on the HM website. They offer a couple of promo to get a license by playing in some poker sites.

I have not done the HM one yet so I will try that. I loved the set up of PT and was used to it, but the $60 buy it is quite steep.
And my good mood now goes to annoyed as my KK losing streak continues. Was on the button and someone UTG raise well over any normal bet on a 1/2p table and I pushed all in knowing he did not have AA. He called and showed AQo(So I took the right action) and he hit 4 flush cards to once again beat me with this hand. I should be up 2 BI's now but once again someone lucks out. Not bothered by it but for once I would like to not get sucked out on with KK.
I wonder if variance is on holiday for me at the moment.
And I get set up again. Hit a fullhouse and someone else once again has a better fullhouse. My 10J against someones 106. What is going on!! Two buy ins down already and I have done nothing wrong at all yet...
It's a night of set ups, fish chasing and hitting draws and suckouts. Can downswings last months because this month has been full of it for me. If I am sure some major upswings then I am due to be a millionaire when that happens.
