Posted by lomax: mhm i disagree because 10 j suited is not a bad had...and after the flop the player UTG have a tris of jacks it's only an unlucky hand
When something extremely unlikely happens I call it a bad beat......what do you call a bad beat?
Im not saying that he should fold on flop(preflop perhaps) but that is a bad beat. I flopped semi nuts only beat by JJ he flop trips and hopes I got AK-KQs-AA-QQ-flushdraw but he surely should have folded to my 3 bet pre. He could have made a 3 bet in pos with that hand but not call 1. He has to hit flop to win it, all the times none of us hit I win + I win the times I hit + often when he hits he will be out kicked. So sure JTs is a fine hand but not in this situation as seen above he got 1 out.

obviously it is quite a bad beat. you wouldnt get any of the badbeat bonus for it though! ive had a hand like this with pocket 9s and the flop was 9 A A, the turn 9 then the river A. i was on a badbeat table praying to god that he had an ace as he raised me all in. he had pocket jacks, very disappointing!
Once, I flopped a full house with my 4s. Flop was 4AA. Turn is a 4 and than river is a A. Than the guy goes all i on the river. I folded and he showed A9.
