So I'm playing in a BrM tourney last night and it's coming down to the bubble. The tourney leaderboard is coming to an end in about 9 days and I need EVERY point I can get to at least stay in the top 10 for a decent payout.
I have enough chips to POSSIBLY make it into the cash for at least 5 leaderboard points. I can't afford to lose a hand or that would be it. I will ONLY take a chance on a premium hand at this point....
WTF DAMN!!! Never saw that sh*t coming I'm so sorry for you mate, you had no choice there. But indeed that fking rigged PS river is always there to so a big to them...

Omg, that sucks! I know exactly how you feel, I've been on the receiving end of some pretty sick beats. The worse for me was when my quad aces got beaten by J2...
I feel for you, hope you manage to stay in a decent position at the leaderboard! You did play that hand 100% correctly, not much to do other then see what happens in that situation. Keep playing that way and you'll be a winner in the long run!

A very rare board, so sick for u here, but with-out any arguments the value of getting pass the bubble is more than AA or KK play is worth at times, it depends how far the bubble/players left your placing etc ..and those blinds could you hold out? , it's a tuff 1, could you have sat-out till bubble to get those points, that is what u have to think about..??? as it's a freeroll most are playing it and your short stacked to. Some Pros say lay AA-KK down near bubble ..just a thought, ul tho.

I could not disagree more! It is always, always, a mistake to lay down AA och KK before the flop in my opinion.

Have to disagree dude.... TWICE in the last few days (in FT/BrM tourneys) against my better judgement I shoved my KK just before the bubble and got knocked out. In one I was about 6 away....in the other about 20 away...and I almost NEVER do that sort of thing. Get into the money....THEN go nuts!
....
Well as you can see gents,...buddy's raise caused everybody else to fold,....so it came down to HU with the guy and I had KK. VERY good chance I'd win it,....so I just jammed what I had left in and crossed my fingers.
It was about 50 to go to the bubble. They go fast, but it would have been VERY close whether I would have made it by the time the blinds came back around.
No problemo making it into the leaderboard cash! It ends next week. Can't really slip much further. If it ends now Id' get $45,.....next week $40. Would be nice to finish FIRST though....! $175........only 8 away from THAT...

Four-king hell... I don't believe I ever had an extreme hand like that so far...
Granted you were firmly in desperation mode already, and probably should have called with any 2 cards there.
From what I've seen, I think your ITM% is probably extremely high. Maybe you should sacrifice some of those min-cashes, by loosening up a bit, in favor of running deep more often; all the money is in the first few places...
I remember you tried that a few months ago, and it seemed to be successful? Have you reconsidered since?
Otoh for pokerstars BRM freerolls, your tight playing style seems to work very well for you...

dont mean to be funny but quad As cant be beaten by J 2..im sure what you mean is that your AA was beaten by J 2 hitting something like a royal/str8 flush but your quads cant be beaten by just J 2

Well when the leaderboard started,...I was so put off by all the donk crap that goes on I decided to play VERY loose,...and like an idiot or a Russian,....and did VERY well! Once I got to 2nd place on the board I decided to tighten up to protect where I got to as THAT sort of luck will not hold up in the long run.
I thought quite a while as to how J 2 can beat AAAA......and then it dawned on me! Kick the table over,....and grab all the cash and run.... < lol...
