very sickening and i don't know why we put ourselves through it.lol..wouldnt mind if it was over the course of a week or so but every game i have played today i have got a thrashing, even whilst miles in front

Yes, as the others said, just take a break! But the problem is that when we have a lot of bad beats, we continue to play. This is wrong! We should stop for a while! To relax, to be fresh for the next poker session.
It happened the same with me. When I have bad beats, I have to stop, but I feel so bad, and I continue to play within hours. I stop when I lose my bankroll. This is wrong!
I remember 2011 I lost $650 for 2 days at the PokerStars cash tables! That really hurts!

Big losses depending on your BR...you go it in with the best hands generally and were pretty unlucky I guess but that's poker, you know how it works.
HU is hugely swingy as well even on low stakes. Better luck next time. I don't understand why you went from £200 hu to a £60? Was that your entire bankroll? If so also silly.

I had a bad streak of downswing a few mths ago, my worst to date, i even tho of giving up poker, but thats only natural, after AA crackked in deep stacked game 3 times in less than an hour with real bad hands runner runner suckouts, river hit gambles i was in poker-pain..
i went back to whay i learned, time-out, fight back don't give up etc etc.. i took 3 days of deposited $10 in pokerstars as i had blew my bankroll of $100 i never leave more than that in from past experience,
Well i went into the first 5 tournesesin A GAME MODE TOTALLY FOCUSSED and cashed in 3 of them for a total of $168 i closed the laptop, looked in the mirror and said always believe ..positivity is key factor to turning things around. gl gl

Its like the spirit of the past dasy here in BRM with the downswings. Yours was also bad ones and the money you lost made them even more bad. I hope you can recover soon from it, and gain back your losses.

victoryv111, you did the correct thing and it also worked like a charm for you
I think except some basic rules in poker how to fight tilt should be one of the most important lessons you should take, and most of the times it's really something you need to experience in order to learn.

I am having at least a week off and not playing so maybe you should too and our running bad might end when we come back. Tbh it would be nice not to play and lose my cool so often so this break would be good for me.

PMSL - if you're playing $100 HU games, then losing $400 should be meaningless to your bankroll.. If losing $400 HAS had an impact on your bankroll - then it's your own silly fault for playing games you weren't rolled to play. Has nothing to do with you AA getting cracked or whatever other 'woe is me' story you've got and EVERYTHING to do with bad bankroll management.

Heads up cash is the poker variant that needs the most skill, as said by others it looks like you do not have a proper bankroll management.
Anyway I am sorry to hear about the losses, hope you can bounce back from it, but from the hands you told us, looks like it is variance, it is going to happen all the time, thus you need a proper bankroll to sustain it.
Also for those that say that heads up games have the most variance, i kind of disagree, if you are a good heads up player, you can pretty much have no losing months. Since you skilled enough to exploit other players.
HUSNG is another thing, that have lots of variance. Cheers hope you get back on your feet!!
