Lock poker (pure poker - scam?)  0
Please note, I have know knowledge of this except the email I am posting below from lock poker. It seems lock poker has shifted software/networks and another site is 'tricking' lock players into playing with them. I will try and find out more.
Email as follows...

We've been hearing concerns from players regarding their balances and we would like to clear up some of the confusion.

- Lock has NO relationship whatsoever with Pure Poker

- Pure Poker has NO Lock player data or account details

- The software update installation of Pure Poker software is an attempt to mislead Lock customers

- Lock Poker's new software must be downloaded at lockpoker.eu

Lock terminated its contract with the Revolution Network on October 29th, it has since to our attention that some players who attempt open the Lock software are having a competitor's software installed on their computer via the Revolution Network software updater.

Lock has NO relationship whatsoever with Pure Poker. Pure Poker has NO Lock player data or account details. Your account information and balances are held with Lock. We have built a one set process to migrate your existing account to our new software, visit https://migrate.lockpoker.eu and you will be guided through the steps.

This is clearly an attempt by the network to take Lock players and damage Lock's business via a deceptive and misleading practice.

Initially the page where Lock players were redirected contained a patently false statement - that Lock's poker services were "terminated". Our legal counsel wrote to the operator of the Revolution network and demanded that this statement be taken down and, we confirmed that the page had been corrected to remove the false statement in less than an hour. However, the network has failed to resolve the more pressing issue - being that it is attempting to take Lock players and damage their business via a deceptive and misleading practice. This is conduct that is obviously meant to damage Lock and to cause confusion in the minds of consumers.

Finally, the regulatory and licensing authority for the Revolution Network have been put on notice that the network operator appears to be allowing an unlicensed poker site to operate as part of their network, in addition to the damages they are intentionally causing to Lock. There is no indication on the purepoker.eu site that their business operations are licesned in Curaco or elsewhere. This site appears to be a sham and players deal with it at their own risk.

OK after further reading (a lot of further reading), it seems pure poker (whilst very shady) is giving $50 to people with lock accounts. They ask for no details so effectively giving $50 to all new customers. I told them about the $180 I have in lock that I cant withdraw, $50 was applied to my account as cash, $130 as 'free money'. However this 'free money' is in account, you can transfer to casino but not poker. I will see what else I can find and post here.

I wont be depositing at pure poker atm but will play a bit, see whats traffic like and keep an eye out to see if depositing is worthwhile in the future

No updates really here, I am on other forums and no-one seems to have tried a withdrawal.
I haven't had a chance to play their yet, only because I have a couple of deposit bonus' on the go

Anyone else playing on pure poker at all?

Didn't even know that Lock Poker has left the Revolution network. This was THEIR network. Confused
They owned it after taking over Cake Poker. Very strange thing.

I am pretty sure lock didn't own cake or the network

not 100% sure, but fairly sure

I did some research. Lock had claimed to own Cake and the network, but it looks like they never did. Very strange operation, but every poker room still serving the US is operating in a dark grey area. So one should expect problems with them.

well lock apparently haven't paid out any players for months and owe millions

its a very dodgy situation

I had just come on here to ask how much liquidity/traffic there was on Lock. Seems I'm best staying well clear Smile

I had read that also somewhere, that they owned the network, cant remember where though.
It sure looks like a big mess up here. Not too trustworthy depositing in either of these two sites.

They never owned revolution to my knowledge, i know the main site of revolution was carbon poker and not lock poker...

After how many thing happend to them i would also not recommend anyone to deposit, especially when the offer is so big nowadays.

Carbon is the main site of the Merge network!
Lock was once part of this network, but left to buy/join the then Cake network. This in turn got renamed Revolution. Now they left this network too.

In June 2012 Lock Poker purchased the Cake Poker network, renaming it the Revolution Gaming Network. Including in the Revolution Gaming Network is also pure poker.
So they are on the same network although reading previous comments with different information i dont know what to make of this all.
If you dont trust it, dont deposit!

I think someone has to do a really good dig with all these info to get into the bottom of it.
Who bought who, who owns what.
There has been a few months now that Cake poker changed to Win Cake.
I dont know if this is related with the movements we keep reading.

The net is full of complains about this room. It looks like Lock is not paying its players. At least not in a timely manner. So be cautious before depositing there.

I played that, had no luck.

Basically it seems, Lock are happy to keep taking your money, but if you are lucky enough to win, they won't let you withdraw.

Some players have been waiting 9 months and still no sign of them getting paid.
