THIS is why I struggle to run deep  0
I already made a thread about this like 2 weeks ago but it's every single FUCKING TIME, like I literally can't remember the last time I've gotten my money in good and my cards have held up for me, this is how I just got out in the BRM freeroll:

Dealt to benjicleo [9s 9h]
WeaKeNiNG: folds
ioana640: folds
MANOWARRIORS: folds
VitosM012: folds
tonami2: raises 300 to 600
benjicleo: raises 1200 to 1800
ODEAVAN: folds
adm69rus: folds
kes1987501: calls 1500
tonami2: calls 1200
*** FLOP *** [7c 7s 8c]
kes1987501: bets 300
tonami2: calls 300
benjicleo: raises 6370 to 6670 and is all-in
kes1987501: calls 6370
tonami2: folds
*** TURN *** [7c 7s 8c] 4 of spades
*** RIVER *** [7c 7s 8c 4s] Jack of diamonds

Thanks jokerstars your magic river strikes again, it really is pathetic how these morons who stack themselves off on gutshots hit on the river.

you raised all that with just a small overpair and wonder why you don't run deep?

I can't see his hand?

im guessing its J6 or something but that doesn't alter the terrible overbetting that went on

The bet sizing is fine. Pot is around 5.7k on the flop and with a flush draw and a hand vulnerable to several over-cards he can't raise/bet much less. Even a 4k raise is effectively an all in here.

6x bb raise preflop for starters with 99

then all in with just an over-pair against 2 others

I presume the villain had a jack since you said it was saved by the river in the end.

In this stage of the tournament i do not see anything wrong on how he played an overpair(in this case 99). All i can say is better luck next time...

99 is a strong hand. You can't narrow the opponents range to TT+ here surely? Especially in light of the fact this is a freeroll

He had to 6x raise as he's facing a raise in-front of him, I assume hoping to take the pot down pre-flop. That didn't happen, he was lucky to get a brilliant flop (for 99) and continued with his aggression, again hoping to take the pot down without any scare cards arriving or even hoping for a call from a donk who can't let go of raggy overcards.

I'm 100% sure this is all standard....the bad luck included Aww crap!

I don't believe it is standard.

That said, we have very little info on the tourney, blinds, positions etc

I think this was played fine ..it's a freeroll every gutshot, open-ender, flushdraws, or even hands like 55 or KQo could call that shove ...

You do seem to have overplayed your overpair on a very wet board. The warning bells should have been ringing after the flop, but it still hurts when you always seem to get sucked out on. Unlucky, but hang on in there it will get better{i hope}

SnG´s, tourneys or cashgame, the donk protection at this site is unbelievable. What can the solid player do against the maniacs? Nothing and this is the reason why the solid player lost their motivation to play online poker.

Every one facing such problems all the time Smile
Choose another platform to play, there are a lots of freerolls to choose from,
even low buy ins.
It can take for ever some times if you wait for your luck to change in a specific site.

Maybe try to play for real money. LOL

Not sure if he had T9 or J6.But really, play for real money and you wont have nearly as many ridicolous suckouts tbh. Just keep a good 30BI BRM and as long as you know how to play everything will be fine.

Ya dude..... I don't know if I'd be jammin' it all in with a pair of 9s with THAT flop... Confused ....and expecting too much from it in the end....

You're not working with anything too powerfull to begin with,...but you never know, stranger has happened and you could have pulled off a full house for that matter... Big Smile

It's a difficult situation really. Can you justify your all in call given the odds or implied odds and the overall risk that you could lose and are willing to lose. The magic river does not exist. It is a game of probability and the probability let you down. You maybe thought you had the odds t call and probably did and many times your 9's would have held up...... It looks like only a J would have lost it for you and you were unlucky.
