im having a rest from poker its all going wrong at the moment down 120 so far this month, im playing better than ever but cards keep failing me, im almost thinking that im getting conned somehow, trips beat by flushes, flushes to full house etc, and i only seam to be losing on big pots , little pots come easy. So tonight im watchig smokin aces, thats if i can stop myself going the pub.

I have seen all of them, Rounders, Maverick, Lucky You, 21, The Grand etc etc etc. Imo some of them are good but none of them are excellent movies. No doubt if you love gambling/poker they may be very entertaining but none of them are Oscar winners if you catch my drift.
I found the 2 latest to be some of the best (21 and The Grand). Especially The Grand was humoristic and they managed to hit all the different personalities which I found extremely funny. Like the computer guy living with his mom who knew all stats/outs in his head and the ending was actually the best part with SmokinAces but I don't wonna ruin it for those who haven't seen it

pretty much same here. only saw Rounders so far. even tho i dont think it was a good movie, i enjoyed it. keep the tips coming folks! what pokermovies are enjoyable? after the EURO i might have a nice lil Poker-Movie-Evening or weekend

I have not seen that many poker movies. But have watch a lot of clips on pokertube which also gives some good knowledge on how to play poker like the pros.
Negreanu have some insane reads in there. Do not think the poker movies give the correct picture.... Hollywood style poker. PokerTube rocks!!

i have one film for you guys that isnt too well known. if any one of you ever gets the chance to watch "high roller the stu ungar story" he should do it ,i think its a great movie,they had the whole thing uploaded on youtube a while ago but somehow its not there anymore. anyway try to get the film it rocks
