Hey guys!
Since my Cash Games thing was a little bit messed with so I couldn't play for a week, I've decided to start fresh on a new bankroll. I just cashed out my entire bankroll of ~$320 and for the rest of the year, I'm going to focus on getting a starting bankroll for the next year.
Therefor I will ONLY play freerolls and sattelites that I know is +EV for me and see where it takes me. I will update by the end of each day and I will keep the first thread updated.
This blog will only run until the 31st of December.

Hmm good idea, but will you have the patience to grind the freerolls, some of them takes forever and you get peanuts for being first and close to nothing even if you final table. If you are joining those deposit freerolls and have the discipline to play them and keep the cash without playing with it. Then you have a better chance of making some money.
Anyway good luck with your challenges, just deposited 20 dollars on PS and playing NL 2 FR. Lol

I play at Party Poker and they have a great freeroll for players from Sweden where top 10 gets $15 T$ and it's fairly easy to cash in them. So that might build my bankroll a decent amount. I also have some points that I can play with to get some extra cash as well. I also have a few entries to some fairly easy freerolls. I think I just might be able to get a decent bankroll before the end of the year. Also, I might get some help from the christmas calendar
I think it wouldn't be impossible to get $100 so that's my goal.

My main approach with freerolls is to play across multiple sites at once. That way although its a long grind for small money, you're playing 6-8 MTT's so it feels better. Playing just one game to win say $10 over 3-4hrs hurts the brain.

Hi Natasha. I'm totally with you. I play FTP/ Pokerstars/Coral Poker and Party Poker at the same time. Even though I play the same style over the different sites I have varying results?
Does anyone or you think that it should make a difference where you play because it definately does.
GL Erru with your task - I wuld suggest playing the BRM freerolls at FTP rather than those at Pokerstars, they are easier.
Gl to all mobsters and I will wish you all a Happy Xmas and a prosperous New Year...............................

Only two weeks left, for the end of the year, so it will be hard to get a decent bankroll. Not to mention the holidays coming, so many of these days you wont be able to play. But anyway good luck with your goal.

Assuming you're going to encounter a ton of donks/fish/jokers/recreational fun players etc on all of the sites (basically the standard is terrible), then in theory over the long term you should see similar results. Freerolls are a minefield for variance/luck though so I doubt you will ever see much correlation between your results across different sites...unless you played hundreds of thousands of games.
All I would say is your "ranges" should be a lot wider in freerolls, especially early in the game. People shove / play all sorts of mess hands

well starting your roll from freerolls is always uber +ev. you can't be a losing player once you start your roll from $0. the worst case scenario is a breakeven. this strategy takes away the pressure of losing your own money (you're basically playing on the house) and lets concentrate on your game more. gl- will be keeping an eye.

G'Day mate, Nice idea of building a bankroll out of nothing by playing freerolls etc. A good suggestion would be to search the internet for many sites that can help you(with free cash by being an active member, with many private freerolls etc). Something that help is to search for you poker rooms or existing with good no deposit bonuses like FTP does give some tickets etc. Anyway i'll follow your thread to see your progress. Good luck.

I haven't been able to play more then 2-3 games and one of them I had to leave after just 10 minutes due to being called into work. However, I just played a freeroll and scored myself $15.

Have a good festive period too!
I disagree
The standard on some sites is a lot worse than on others.
And you need to factor in that some sites use tracking software and some don't so those that do could have sharks looking to target certain aspects of your play.
FTP for instance, was always a lot harder than 888 to FT on
Traditionally too, if a poker site is attached to a betting site, the play is often a lot weaker

That is better than nothing. And the thing with freerolls is, you cant go down, only up I dont know if there will be any special tournaments this year, but always it is a little bit difficult for most of us to participate at this time.
Anyways good luck with the rest of your games, this year, which i doubt you will find time to play

Yep me too Merry Christmas man, and I cannot wait for you to start your challenge, hope you do not get bored after 1 month or if you happen to get on a bad streak in the freerolls, like having the feeling of playing long hours for nothing.
Anyway me I am just grinding any bonus I am getting and just playing for fun since I do not have the discipline and skills to make money in poker!!

Well that also wisdom ... knowing what you can and what you cant
If you know your not having the skills or dicipline to play poker profitable ... just play for fun with playmoney or freerolls.
I play +/- break-even or with very small profits as long as I stay at microstakes ....
