Hi there, been a long time. For the people who not know me just a quick update: I used to play a lot poker a couple of years ago, i did some grinding for about 4/5/6 hours a day for i guess 3/4 years straigth. Build up a solid roll for mostly playing Double Thrus, mostly $5, $10, $20 and sometimes higher stakes. After many many DoNs i got a little bored and played more MTTs with a good ROI (small stakes). I had freetime at that time so it was easy to grind my way up. After that i started a bussiness and got bored with poker and also didnt had much time to play. Cashed my whole roll out and did invest 75% in the company and 25% left was for multiple vacations and presents for girly and kiddo (Btw i didnt go to Vegas as i was planned )
Anyway have a little more time now and 2 friends of mine play a lot poker so i got little intrest back in the game. My plan is to make a roll again from zero to hero if i have enough time to do it, i will deffo not grind like before, just playing when i want and have the time. Sometimes 4 games a day, sometimes 10 and sometimes no games. I play DoNs, regular SNGs and MTTs, stakes $1 to max $10. I cud play higher but dont want to, money at low stakes is just too easy, playing higher i have to do more thinking and dont want to, also my winrate at higher wud problably the same as on low stakes cos of lower ROI. For now i have no clue wot to do with the roll if i succeed. maybe same as last time maybe go too Vegas, dont know.
Ok here we go, did allready start, had $75 left on Ladbrokes and had a good start with a 3rd at Euro 5 rebuy (Ladbrokes is in euros and dollars), and some more playing.
I will add some graphs later, be warned i have no sample size yet

that's quite a start, it seems "slowly but surely" is not your style

your roll your decision, but i would go to Vegas- it is still bugging you, so if you have an opportunity go for it, at least you can safely remove this trip from your "someday in my life" list

------------ Didnt play so much yesterday, couple off DoNs and normal SNG. Managed to go up a bit. Roll $725,64 now. DoNs are 6handed at Ladbrokes, i mostly played 10handed at PKR but 6handed is ok, guess even easier.
My style is uberTAG, with low blinds i just keep folding, only hands i play are AA/KK/QQ/JJ/AK and all pairs in position limping, sometimes a suited con. Hands like AQ is crap for me, no need to play for me with low blinds. When blinds getting high i play safe when i am safe in chips else i search for spots to pickup the blinds to keep my stack healthy. It works fine. Normal SNG i play kinda the same but at the bubble i spew sometimes just to keep my eye on nr1 spot. Anyway attached my SNG graph, its still absolute no sample but hey hope the volume comes

Well again a nice blog to follow.
Already won a nice amount, which gives you a nice start.
I played SNg DoN also in the past and did read some strategy-articles about it.
It is as you said , play only monsters and keep the pot s low preflop, if you hit with the monster on the flop it s moneytime. (straights, flushes, sets and FH is what your looking for)
and let te others do the risky job for you (your aim is to get ITM, top 3 is enough)

Glad to see you back and even happier to have you posting about poker. Best of luck with the blog and I will definitely be following it, a good shot in the arm for the BRM poker forum IMO.

I look forward to reading this blog. I love to read about the highs and lows of playing poker, the bad beats and the lucky rivers are always great stories. I hope that you are successful in your venture and good luck to you

Well at least you did not make it a loosing day Doomdy , 2$ up is better than 2 $ down
Hope you get some good results in some MTT this weekend. A final table always give s a boost for your bankroll but also keep in mind you get busted out by a bad beat or a coinflip that works out bad for you.

Today is the day Ladbrokes moving too Ipoker, not a big fan off IPoker. I remember i played there and rake on small limits were same as PartPoker, insane high. Also i remember DoNs were turbo, i also play them profitable but i prefer normal ones. Positiv on Ipoker wud be traffic, Ipoker is so much bigger then Ladbrokes, also shedule MTT must be much more better. Well we'll see

Not been looking forward to them moving to Ipoker either. Ladbrokes is the place I prefer to everyone else and has its own look and feel. After playing on Gala/William Hill/Titan I never liked the look or feel of it. Hopefully Laddys keeps the looks and feel of their program still.
Do they start the change at midnight tonight? I'm sure it was the 21st it starts..
Just realized I had this in a email about the change. As long as Ladbrokes dont use the same Poker look as everyone else on Ipoker has this could be better for us.

Yep great blog, good luck in your journey hope you reach the stars. No pun intended.
yeah the thing about ladbrokes sucks, they moving to Ipoker and I hate ipoker sites and if you don't like them there are not much to choose from except from full tilt and poker stars. Did you play on unibet?
They are moving away from microgaming network and their is a haul in software and by the looks of it, they will target recreational players and there will no more be good rakeback!!

Just did the final update and surprise surprise its the same look as every other Ipoker poker site. I don't like it. I just hope this doesnt change how I enjoyed Ladbrokes poker. My username I use and have to change to a nickname is already taken(Most probably on another Ipoker site I am on) great. Have you tried it yet?

Hi Doom, i know why you can't log in. Playtech(i-poker) is not longer available for the dutch market! This is since the 12th of december. All players of any i-poker skin received an e-mail that they had untill the 12th to cash out there funds. Later this year Holland casino is launching a skin on the i-poker network(playtech casino) and that will be the only skin we will be able to play on. So if i were you i would mail their support to get your funds out. This shouden't be a problem cause they moved to i-poker and you could not have known as you weren't a member of a i-poker skin. But don't wait to long, i've heard of some players having trouble getting there funds, they cashed out on the last day(12th). Also as they were moving to i-poker, they shoud have warned their dutch clients. Good luck. Nice blog btw.
