Its both hilarious and sad. A drunk Manchester United fan called 999 "demanding" to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson after the club's defeat by Sunderland in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.

These fans take their football so seriously it is sometimes sad. To call 999 is the last resort to say the least. But i have watched Manchester United play this year and all the emergency services combined couldnt rescue their season!!

i find it pretty crazy how seriously people take football. it seems to dominate so many lives. nothing wrong with supporting a team and being proud of there achievements but i still find it very amusing watching a grown man cry over someone losing a game . for me i have a rule of not supporting people richer than myself on account of the fact realistically they do not need my support at all.

I am sure signing Mata will make up for that though. Cracking player.
