Well, the response has been underwhelming, however I am willing to try and run one of these tournaments if I can get six players together (including myself). Prize money I am providing is $25.00, the date will be February 22 at 19:30 GMT so please reserve your spot by contacting me. For those of you who have not contacted me yet through the 888 site there is still time, simply send me a message which includes your name on BRM, and when the time comes for the tournament I will email you the password. If you have any questions about this tournament please ask. The purpose is to have some fun, I am up tons in 2014 and I want to give a bit back to BRM and play against you guys. For all of you who complain about playing freerolls for $0.05 prizes after hours of playing against kamikaze poker players, you can’t beat this deal. If it does not work out I will not offer this again.

I would have thought more people would have chomped at the bit for another home game. A small player tourney would be quite fun though. How many have actually contacted you for this so far?

Right now, including myself, five players are interested. I am willing to help if anybody cannot figure out how to contact me through the 888 site, just let me know. If this works out I would like to hold these on average every 4-8 weeks, depending on how busy I get.
I dont think so many of us play on 888, the underwhelming response might be caused by this little fact. If you do this on PS (or Unibet) I would be game too, there probably easier to set up home games and so on, but nevermind I wish you well in the future, and good luck to anybody who go out and partricipate. The x-mas tourey on two weeks ago was fun, and many played as ultra nits so It will be probably the same this time too. LAG players go, go, go!

After taking a long break from Pokerstars I deposited and am starting to build up. Maybe if things go well enough I will try hosting one there, but my roll is still way too small. IMO who cares about the site when there is free money to be had, especially with a small player field? I used to play the freerolls on tiny Betraiser, and since the player field was only about 100 I would cash regularly and then use it to buy into cash games and SNG. I made good money on Betraiser and wish they still had that freeroll for my time zone.
Hi Mahdrof, let me know if there is still a free chair at your table. My nickname is the same on 888 as here. Fresh fish from Russia is ready to be caught.

Why not?
Hi Fishseller. Please go to http://my.888poker.com/, create an account and then contact me through the site (my name is mahdrof there too). A day before the tournament I will send everyone the password.
Its not about the free money. I could probably made more free money in my free time by simply doing crowdflover tasks than participate on freerolls and home games, but sometimes I do the latter just for killing time or if Im on a site where I got no roll at all (therefore I cant do my regular thing on MTTs and SNGs). But thats where the software became important to me, I have my habits and preference and Im not registered far too many sites because I probably wouldnt play there often or I dont like their software. 888 has good software IMO despite my picky nature but Im not even registered so just to register and download and whatnot for a tourey with a dozen participators its not really worth my time and effort (I know its free money, but free money never free - u pay for it with your time). If you could bring together a 150+ player field I might think it twice, but just to go out chatting during hands with other forum regs its not really my thing per se.

yeah tourneys @stars would be a better success i'm sure...i don't play 888, so really feel no need of going trhough the installation and setup thingy...many dudes think the same imho...
on a side note: last year we formed the tradition of having 2 brm supported tourneys a year (xmas & easter homegames)- hope brm will continue to support it's loyal degenerates this year as well...what i'm thinking is to make the easter homegame into an easter hu championship (we had one long time ago...i missed it, but it looked like a fun thing)...any thoughts on that?

I don't see why people just don't join up at 888, as well as these home game freerolls you get a $2 bankroll and $10 in tickets free just for joining. Cannot get a easier start than that if I say so myself.

im still waiting for their response on my 888betting account issues, like 5 days ago i asked them if im able to make 888poker account, no avail so far though
if im able to make it id love to be part of this thing, only played one tourney with fellow brmers so far and it was super fun, i even stayed like 40 mins after i busted, to watch some of more active forum members play
so id love to join but im not sure if im able to make account there, still have that betting acc i made ages ago, and i dont even know its details anymore, but its on my name and all that so gotta wait for their response i suppose :/
and only 5 people so far, thats a bid odd considering its free to join 888 and theres tons of active forum users who play other 'freerolls' for a few cents but cant be arsed to join this one :/
maybe you could wait til more people join, to have at least 2 tables or so, and if im able to make it ill happily deposit a few bucks there, and add like 1-2$ per tourney as a bounty on some random person of your choice.

G'day mate
I must say that I am truly shocked that you have been having trouble getting players to play in your tournament. People are normally chopping at the bit to play for free cash. I would play in the tournament bur I personally can not be certain I can make the time because of my health issues. Best wishes to you. be cool

Ronin
It's not a problem. I am not going to hold it against anyone who says they are going to play and then can't make it, I have been guilty of that with some of the BRM home games. It's all about a little fun Ronin.
